Dear First Grade Students and Families,
I am so excited to get to know you! My name is Brianna Burk, and I am thrilled to be your teacher this
year! We have many fun-filled learning adventures ahead of us! With our Village 1 schedule, we will
meet Monday-Thursday from 7:50 AM -2:40PM and on Fridays from 7:20AM- 11:20PM in Building 1,
Room 11. This year we will be learning new, exciting material through our cottages, which include:
Sweet Shop, Plymouth Plantation, Mineral Market, and Bird House.
I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I had the
wonderful opportunity of completing my student teaching in second grade here at EDUPRIZE. I am
excited and eager to begin my career with you in first grade! I enjoy traveling, the beach, hiking, and
watching the best team in the NFL play! Go Cardinals! Most of all, I am delighted to be your teacher, and
I am looking forward to help your child grow in many ways this year!
I can’t wait to meet you! I hope to see you and your family at OPEN HOUSE on Monday, July 24. Open
House is from 8:00-4:00. The school is recommending that my Open House takes place from 9:30 AM –
10:30AM to help spread out the traffic flow. I will be available all day (with the exception of a short
lunch break), if you are unable to make it at our scheduled time.
∗ You will get to meet me, see our classroom, and pick up important papers (including
carpool/dismissal information).
∗ You will be getting information on where to line up each school day, and where I will come to greet
you on the first day of school.
∗ Please check our website at eduprizeschools.net for any changes in schedules.
∗ While online, please complete and print the Open House documents and bring them with you
to Open House.
∗ Please also bring $6.00 cash or check (payable to EDUPRIZE) for a monthly Scholastic News magazine
subscription.
Our first day of school is Wednesday, July 26 and you MUST be on
time and present the full day to be considered enrolled at EDUPRIZE.
