JOB NAME:
Game Attendant
JOB DESCRIPTION: As a game attendant
your primary responsibility is to operate
amusement games in a safe and efficient
manner. In this position you will be trained to
operate 16 games and the Jungle of Fun. You
must be able to stand for extended periods of
time and work in the heat. You must enjoy
working with children.
PAY RATE: $8.50 per hour.
END OF SEASON BONUS: Every
employee is eligible for the End of Season
Bonus (EOSB). This bonus is up to an
additional $1.00 for every hour you work
during the summer.
WAGE INCREASE: The last 3 weeks of the
season we increase the base wage.
HOURS AND SHIFTS: Funland expects
game attendants to work an average of 30
hours per week over 5 days. This position
requires employees to work one of two shifts.
The first shift is a 10am-5pm shift and the
second shift is a 1pm-7pm shift. Employees
are scheduled a mix of both shifts and we like
to set your two days off each week so they are
the same.

Funland is a family owned and operated amusement park. The Fasnacht
family purchased Funland from the Dentino family in 1962. Funland started
with 12 rides and 2 games and now has 18 rides and 17 games. Funland
just celebrated its 54th summer of fun! Funland has become a special place
for many vacationers that visit Rehoboth Beach, DE. Funland gives you the
opportunity to work hard, earn great money and create memories for a

WHAT FUNLAND EXPECTS OF YOU: Working at Funland is a rewarding experience, but not an easy job. We expect
you to work at a fast pace while constantly regarding the safety and
happiness of your guests. We want you to have
fun while promoting a professional and positive image. This requires a lot of smiling! If you do not like to smile this is not the
position for you! The three most important words to remember as a Funlander are:
SAFETY - COURTESY - HUSTLE
UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE: Funland provides work shirts, wind breakers, and name tags for all employees. To
complete the uniform, you would be responsible for providing tan/khaki colored shorts or blue jeans (for cooler temperatures.)
A neat and well groomed appearance is mandatory. Facial hair, body piercings, and tattoos will be scrutinized for suitability.
EXAMPLE WORK SCHEDULE: As a game attendant you work one of two primary shifts.
SHIFT A 10AM-5PM (1/2 hour lunch break)
SHIFT B 1PM-7PM (1/2 hour dinner break)
After starting work if you decide that you like a specific shift better we can try to accommodate that. We also realize that for
many game attendants it is your first job and it can be overwhelming at times. If that is the case then we can look to adjust your
schedule accordingly.
STARTING AND ENDING DATES: Funland will be open weekends in May starting with Mother’s Day Weekend 2017.
Because there are only two training weekends this year we ask that you attend both
weekends AND Memorial Day Weekend.
In recent years Funland has been busy from the moment we open our doors and because of this we need to have as much help
as possible.
1st Training Weekend: Saturday May 13th - Sunday May 14th 2017 (Mother’s Day Weekend)
2nd Training Weekend: Friday Night May 19th, Saturday May 20th & Sunday May 21st 2017.
Memorial Day Weekend: Friday Night May 26th, Saturday May 27th, Sunday May 28th, Monday May 29th, 2017.
Starting Friday June 2nd, 2017 Funland will open every day through Monday
September 10th, 2017. Our last day of business for the summer will be Sunday
September 10th, 2016. If you are chosen to be a Funlander, it is important for you
to understand that you are committing yourself to work during as much of the
season as possible. You will be expected to work weekends in May and June
until school is finished and also weekends once you start school in the fall. Labor
Day weekend is one of our busiest weekends and we require attendance for that

WAGE INCREASE: During the last three weeks of our season all employees
receive an attractive wage increase. This is to reward those employees that stay through
the end of our season. Starting Friday August 18th, 2017 the hourly pay rate increases $.50 to $9.00 an hour. Friday August
25th, 2017 the hourly pay rate increases $.50 to $9.50 an hour. Starting Friday September 1st, 2017 the hourly pay rate
increases $1.00 to $10.50 an hour. That is $2.00 above the base wage!
END OF SEASON BONUS: Hourly employees have the opportunity to earn even more money by the way of an End of
Season Bonus (EOSB). This bonus is variable and is determined by one’s performance and by honoring the commitment you
make to Funland. 70% of the bonus is work performance based and 30% is commitment based. If hired you are required to put
your commitment down in writing. If you stay the duration of the contract you automatically get the 30%. Please refer to the
