Team Managers Role
As the team manager you are agreeing to the Playing Rules and Terms and Conditions of Business for the Tilsley Park 5-a-side League as set below and on the website. It is the
responsibility of the team manager to be the primary contact for the team and all the players involved. By allowing a player to take part in the club’s match, you are confirming that a player
is aware of and will abide by these rules.

PLAYER REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY
1.1.
All new clubs shall be given a Team Registration from prior to their first match night.
1.2.
We may contact you via email, post, phone or SMS to inform you about match cancellations, change to fixtures, rule changes or other matters relating to the league.
1.3.
We may also contact you during or once you have left the league to keep you informed of our services and to offer you other opportunities in your area.
MATCH FEES
2.1.
The team match fee shall be determined by Tilsley Park, this may change from time to time. The match fees are payable before the League Commences.
2.2.
Teams must pay all match fees in advance via cheque/card or cash within 14 days of the league commencing. At least 50% of the full payment required, must be received
before the designated start of the League period in question.
2.3.
If the full fee is not received in time, Tilsley Park shall implement the ‘No Pay-No Result’ procedure.
2.4.
The team manager is responsible for all team underpayments and match fee arrears.
2.5.
Any team that leaves the competition with arrears may be banned from participating in future Tilsley Park 5-a-side leagues. By entering a team, the team manager agrees to
this responsibility. If you fail to pay any amount due under this agreement for a period of more than 30 days, then we may pass the debt to a third party company for
collection. The costs incurred in the employing the third party company will be borne by you including the costs in tracing you should you have changed address without
telling us.

Tilsley Park reserve the right to withhold any medals from teams that have monies owing from debt accrued throughout any season(s).
TEAM INSURANCE
3.1.
All participants are advised that Tilsley Park is unable to provide personal injury insurance or player-to-player insurance. You are advised to purchase this as a team or
individually. Providers can be found via your County FA office www.thefa.com.
LEAGUE STRUCTURE
4.
FORMAT
4.1.
The competition shall be played on a league basis. The league shall consist of one or more divisions containing several teams.
4.2.
Matches shall be played on one nominated day every week. Teams shall play each other once or twice over a period of several weeks. Three points shall be awarded for a win,
one point for a draw.

4.3.
The organisers may change the match night, times or laying format where it is to the advantage of the league.
4.4.
All venues are non-smoking; this rule is inclusive of spectators.
PROMOTION & RELEGATION
5.1.
At the end of the season the one or two highest ranked teams in each division (except the top division) shall be promoted to the division above.
5.2.
In the event of two or more teams being equal on points, the team with the best goal difference shall take precedence. In the event of the goal difference also being equal,
the goals scored shall take precedence.
5.3.
At the end of the season one or two lowest ranked teams in each division shall be relegated to the division below.
5.4.
The winners of each top division will have their team name engraved on the league trophy and receive any associated prizes.
5.5.
At the organisers’ discretion, trophies or medals shall be awarded to teams and players within winning teams. This is subject to all team fees and team registrations being in
order.

Tilsley Park reserves the right to amend the league structure and format including promotions and relegations.
FIXTURES
6.1.
Fixtures shall be created by Tilsley Park and where possible teams shall be given the full range of fixture times.
6.2.
By registering and entering League Periods League Managers commit themselves and their team to attendance of all of their designated fixtures during this league period
without absence.
6.3.
Fixtures for the entire season shall be posted on the website at least 24 hours before the first game of the season at the discretion of Tilsley Park.
6.4.
Once fixtures have been created these shall not be amended or re-arranged unless determined by Tilsley Park if it benefits the league.
6.5.
In the event of a request for a fixture to be rescheduled, Tilsley Park will do so to the best of their ability, but only on the agreement of all parties concerned alongside the
availability of a match official and facility availability.
6.6.
In the event that the fixture cannot be rescheduled or no other arrangement for the match agreed, the team who request for the original fixture to be rescheduled will be
deemed absent for that fixture.
6.7.
No fixtures will be rescheduled outside of the designated league period.
6.8.
Once a season is completed, promotions and relegations shall be made, the new fixtures generated and the new season shall start within 14 days. Pauses between seasons will
be determined in advance by Tilsley Park.
6.9.
During this 14-day break period, the option to play other teams from the league in a friendly is available. The costs of this are in line with the match fees of your previous
League.
7.
ABSENT TEAMS & UNFULFILLED FIXTURES
7.1.
If a team is absent for a fixture without given proper notice the opposition shall be awarded the game.
7.2.
Where a team is absent for 2 fixtures during the competition, Tilsley Park reserve the right to remove the team from competition and reclaim the full season charge.
7.3.
If a team has no opposition, as they are absent, to claim the points they must be available to play and have paid the relevant match fee. If this is not the case than they shall
be also deemed as absent.
7.4.
If a team is late by more than 10 minutes or have less than 4 players present they are deemed to be absent.
7.5.
If a team is absent, no supply or sale is made. However, the absent team hereby agrees that it will pay compensation for breach of this agreement. This sum will be the match
fee. This is payable within the week leading up to the following fixture. Failure to pay will result in possible ejection (see 2.4)
7.6.
If a team gives proper notice, Tilsley Park will seek to re-arrange the game to the final week of the league. If this is not possible it is agreed that the compensation payment
will not be reduced under any circumstances. Proper notice requires a team to inform the organisers of their forthcoming absence 48 hours in advance of the fixture over the
phone.
8.
ABANDONED GAMES
8.1.
In all cases where Tilsley Park is satisfied that a game has been abandoned through fault of one of the teams, the match shall be awarded to their opponents.
8.2.
A maximum of 3 points may be deducted from the total gained by any club found responsible for causing the match to be abandoned as a result of the conduct of its
players/officials.
8.3.
In an event of a game being abandoned through extreme cause, which is beyond the control of both teams, one point shall be awarded to each team. However, where it is
considered the outcome would be fairer, the organisers may order the score at this time of the abandonment to be recorded as the result.
9.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS
9.1.
The number of players is limited to 8 registered players per squad. However teams are permitted to bring a maximum of two unregistered players at any time.
9.2.
If at any point a team requires a change to their list of registered players, they may do so at a cost of £10 per player.
9.3.
Veterans League Teams are permitted to register a maximum of two players under the age of 35; however they must be over the age of 30 at the date of registration.
PARTICIPATION & LEAVING
10.
LENGTH OF PARTICIPATING
10.1.
When a team joins the 5-a-side league they are committing to the duration of one entire league period, or a period of 10 weeks, whichever is longer.
10.2.
A team shall always be automatically entered into the next league period and liable for a full set of fees, unless the team manager has delivered a formal notice of withdrawal
within 14 days of the current league ending.
11.
LEAVING PROCEDURE
11.1.
A team can only leave at the end of the season.
11.2.
To withdraw from the league the team manager MUST give at least 14 days notice before the end of that current season.
11.3.
The team must fulfil the remainder of that season fixtures, and shall be withdrawn before the new season commences.
11.4.
The team can only give notice by calling (01235) 524 524 so that their position can be discussed and agreed. Notice cannot be submitted via email or at an event.
11.5.
A team that leaves the league without 2 weeks notice or before the end of the season will need to re-register and as such will need to repay their registration fee and shall be
charged for three weeks of the following season. This payment will be required within 30 days of the new League commencing.
11.6.
Any team that leaves monies owed shall have arrears collected by Tilsley Park or an appointed agency. The registered team manager at the time of the team withdrawal shall
be wholly responsible for these monies.
