PLAST TT (TOTM) provides desirable properties in vinyl applications which require good
plasticizer/resin compatibility, low volatility, resistance to extraction by soapy water and good
electrical properties. PLAST TT ( TOTM )is often a good substitute for polyester polymeric
plasticizers in low volatility applications where improvements in processing are desired.
The compound is suitable for PVC, cellulose nitrate, ethyl cellulose and poly methyl
methacrylate. With above average electrical properties, it is mainly used in electrical wire and
cable for 105°C level applications. PLAST TOTM (Tri-2-ethylhexyl Trimellitate) is used in the
manufacture of appliance gaskets, automotive interiors, flexible medical tubing, flexible
medical plastics, Polyvinyl chloride compounding, vinyl products, wire and cable insulation,
and other applications to increasing effect of a fire retardant, lasting primary plasticizer.
