What is the program like?
The two days of the program are targeting two major topics in suicidology: research and prevention.
TRIPLE i program
Each session consists of two lectures, each approximately 90 minutes long, and discussion. English is the official
language of the event.
Distinguished international experts in the field of suicide research and prevention will present these topics at the
conference. The conference is hosted by Professor Diego De Leo, a leading expert in the area of suicide and the
director of the Slovene Centre for Suicide Research. Among his research expertise are definitional issues in suicidology,
cultural aspects, international trends and national suicide prevention programs. He was the initiator of the World Suicide
Prevention Day, which is celebrated on 10th September every year around the World.
Who can apply?
We encourage professionals, students, scholars and practitioners who are interested in the topic of
suicidal behaviours to apply for the participation, e.g. psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, medical doctors,
nurses, social workers, anthropologists, philosophers, sociologists, social scientists, natural scientists, artists … many
professions are listed, as the topic of suicide is very complex, and there is the need for multidisciplinary approaches. We
encourage the participation of people from Slovenia, as well as from abroad. We will select 50 participants on the basis
of their motivation and career perspectives.

We will inform you about selection results by Wensday, 25th April; so please provide us with your up-to-date contact
information. If selected, you will be required to pay the conference fee byMonday, 30th April. The application form is
in English, as that is the official language of the event.

After being selected, how do I pay?
After being selected, you will be required to pay the conference fee. Unfortunately, the fee is non-refundable. Please
make sure you do not pay the fee before the end of selection procedure. The payment is not guaranty for being selected
and we cannot reimburse already paid fees.
