WHO’S ELIGIBLE FOR ONECARD?
DISCOVER MONEY NETWORK® ACCOUNT
Students:
The Money Network® Account is an optional
feature of the Brookdale OneCard for students only.
Financial Aid awards and refunds can be deposited
directly into your Brookdale OneCard Money
Network® account. The Money Network® Enabled
Discover® OneCard is not a credit card, but a
prepaid debit card. All funds are FDIC insured.
All currently enrolled Brookdale students should get
a Brookdale OneCard. This includes Visiting, Fast
Start, Dual Enrollment, Distance Education and Early
College High School students, and also High
Technology High School students who take classes
on the Brookdale campus. This OneCard includes
optional access to both the Brookdale Bucks
program and the Money Network® Enabled
Discover® OneCard feature.
Employees:
All Brookdale faculty and staff will receive a
Brookdale OneCard. This card includes optional
access to the Brookdale Bucks program, but not to
the Money Network® Enabled Discover® feature.
Continuing Education Instructors:
Continuing Education instructors are eligible to
receive a Brookdale OneCard, but will only be issued
a card on an as-needed basis. This card includes
optional access to the Brookdale Bucks program,
but not to the Money Network® Enabled Discover®
feature.
Getting a card:
The OneCard Production Office is located in the
Warner Student Life Center, Room 109 on the
Lincroft campus and in the Freehold campus at the
Self Check-In Kiosk. A valid photo ID such as driver’s
license or passport as well as proof of current
Brookdale registration is required to receive a
Brookdale OneCard. Fast Start, Dual Enrollment
and Early College High School students may use an
official High School identification card as a valid ID.
ID card photos may be taken at any of the regional
locations, Hazlet, Long Branch, Neptune and Wall in
the Student Success Center. Your photo will be emailed to the ID card office and your card will be
sent via inter-office mail to the Student Success
Center where your photo was taken.
BROOKDALE BUCKS
“Brookdale Bucks” is an optional Brookdale OneCard
account, giving you the ability to Swipe-and-Go. Use
Brookdale Bucks to purchase the things you need on
campus. There are no deposit fees and no minimum
balance.
Brookdale Bucks are accessed using the black mag stripe
side of the Brookdale OneCard and is the recommended
method of payment on campus. Use your Brookdale
Bucks at various locations on campus, and be eligible for
discounts and or incentives for using your OneCard!
Purchasing Brookdale Bucks/Make a Deposit
You can add Brookdale Bucks to your Brookdale OneCard
using the following methods:
The Money Network® Enabled Discover® OneCard
is NOT the same as Brookdale Bucks. These are two
separate accounts.
The Brookdale OneCard Money Network® Enabled
Discover® funds are accessed using the hologram
mag strip of the Brookdale OneCard.
If you would like Financial Aid awards and/or
refunds to be directly deposited onto your
Brookdale OneCard, you can authorize Brookdale
Community College to put your refund on your
Brookdale OneCard Money Network® Discover®
account. You can then use your funds wherever
Discover Card is accepted.
1. Online at https://brookdalecc-sp.blackboard.com/
eaccounts. You may check account balances, add
Brookdale Bucks to your account, view and print account
statements, view recent transactions and report your
card lost or stolen online. Log in using your NetID
username and password.

2. At the Brookdale Bucks PHiL Station located in the
Warner Student Life Center, next to the Pen and Scroll
Bookstore, deposit cash or use a debit card or credit
card to add Brookdale Bucks to your OneCard.

What Is OneCard?
OneCard, part of the Blackboard Enterprise System,
will replace – and outshine – your current ID card.
Everyone can:
 Use it as your Brookdale ID card
 Load it up with cash (Brookdale Bucks) – either
on campus or online – and use it to pay for food
in any of our dining locations and at designated
vending machines on campus.
Expiration of The Old Brookdale ID Card
Please be advised that the old Brookdale ID card
will no longer be accepted as a valid ID after
Friday 10/17/2014.
All Brookdale students and staff will need the
new Brookdale OneCard to be eligible for
discounts and to access various resources.

Lincroft and at their Bookstore West location in
Freehold
