Volleyball picks up first win of the season under new head coach Justin Wells

Springfield, Ill. – The Lindenwood University – Belleville volleyball team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday night with a 3-0 sweep over Robert Morris – Springfield. The
victory marked the first-career win for new head coach Justin Wells.
The Lady Lynx (1-1) held the Eagles to 10 or less points in all three sets, sweeping the Eagles, 25-9, 25-4, 25-10. Madison Farrier and Heather Niemeyer led the team in kills with
six apiece, while Kenlea Herndon contributed five kills on the night.
Junior transfer Taylor Glueck recorded eight service aces out of 24 attempts and a team-high seven digs, while Chelsi Hummert totaled a team-high 29 assists.
The Lady Lynx even their record to 1-1 as they travel to the Missouri Valley Tournament this weekend Marshall, Mo. Lindenwood – Belleville will kick off tournament play with a
matchup against Haskell University Friday at 6 p.m.
