Chic & s t n e s e Pr UNIQUE Show and Sale Monday, June 27, 2016 6 pm—8 pm Thrift Warehouse Haliburton 128 Mallard Road off Industrial Park Road The Chic & Unique training program took students over a seven week period and taught them basic carpentry, design mosaics, antique refinishing, and other upcycling techniques. This catalogue showcases the products completed by Chic & Unique students and their mentors. All proceeds will support the programs and services of SIRCH Community Services. All Chic & Unique paint and wax finishes are VOC free and environmentally friendly. Class participants used a chalk based paint and a clay based paint and the wax is all natural made from nut oils and beeswax. Solid antique desk upcycled into a beautiful, neutral, mosaic topped bathroom vanity with vessel sink. A show stopper in any cottage bathroom! One of a kind island with a fabulous mountain scene mosaic top. Finished in the delicious colour “Cheesecake” and sealed in a natural wax finish. (left) This fun, low profile coffee table with its mosaic top will add dimension to your outdoor living space. (right) This sweet butterfly themed mosaic top dresser is too cute to hide in the bedroom. (left) A solid maple single bed is turned into a playroom bench for the kids or a fabulous dog bed for the pet that rules the roost! (right) This shabby chic side table will fit sweetly into any cottage or Bunkie. (left) This beautiful set of 5 antique chairs were hand stripped and refinished with tender loving care. All new wooden seats add to the appeal of these early century pieces. (right) A great shabby chic chair to incorporate into your garden art! (left) This set of 4 hand crafted Windsor chairs have been brought back to their glory by the skilled hand of a master craftsman. (right) An upcycled bi-fold door makes a delightful little potting shelf for the deck or garden shed. (left) This sweet little piece would make a delightful telephone table or cell phone centre. It is painted in a beautiful blue with an antique finish. (right) A simple cottage country bookcase that will fit into any small space. (left) This delicate little bench has been refinished and given a new caned seat. It would make a lovely dressing table seat or a sweet coffee table. (right) A neat faux marble finish on a great piece for the back hall or extra towel storage for your country bathroom. (left) This sweet shabby chic dresser would be perfect in the cottage Bunkie. Its warm finish will complement any décor. (right) This little 4 drawer dresser was painted white and finished in a grey glaze for a cool, distressed finish. (left) Just add cushions for a fabulous window bench painted in Butter Cream, distressed and antiqued with a natural wax finish. (right) These country finished wall mount shelves could go inside or out on the porch to hold LED candles to welcome guests. (left) Delightfully finished chalk boards for every room! (right) The perfect chalkboard, play & storage station for when the grandchildren come to visit. (left) Let this little desk take you back to your elementary years.
