We used to be called the Student Council but we have
changed our name to ‘All About Us’ because we wanted to
involve all of us. We recently decided to create a newsletter

wonderful artwork, stories and learning. The meaning
behind All About Us is for students to feel safe and happy

New Windsor Co-Captains Nixon and Chris showing off their teams prize.
On Thursday 8th August the New Windsor School Under 45kg Rugby team went to
Kelston Primary to play in the final of their competition.
This is what the Co-Captains Chris and Nixon had to say about the game.
“It was a very tough game but we would rate it an 11 out of 10. Some of the boys
were a bit nervous before the start of the game and thought we might lose. It was
really fun.”
The game was fast and furious with Kelston getting off to a quick start scoring a try
very early in the game. New Windsor trailing behind were soon on the board after
Kayetan caught the ball from a kick off and went straight back at the heart of
Kelston’s team to break through and score under the posts. The teams traded tries
with Zyroam scoring twice for New Windsor, however Kelston was not to be out
done and were leading with time running out.
Great defence by Kelston saw them knocking the ball out of the hands of Tre as he
was diving for the line. With only 2 minutes to play sustained pressure by New
Windsor saw Yahya score, making the score 4 – 4 at the end of regulation time.
Onto overtime, golden point with Kelston going hard onto attack and crossing the
New Windsor line only to lose the ball forward. Once again New Windsor put
Kelston under pressure and Yahya stepped up again scoring the winning try.
The final score New Windsor School 5 tries to Kelston Primary’s 4.
The Under 45kg New Windsor School Rugby team wins the trophy and gets to keep
the trophy forever. The team would like to thank Wendy Keats for taking them to
their game and the treat of McDonalds as a reward for winning.

What do you use
these bins for?
Eco-Warriors
The eco-warriors want to tell you one message: use the
“right” bin. Most food scraps go into the worm farm bins.
The worms don’t like citrus, so put it in the land fill bin.
Bottles and recycling stuff go into the recycling bin.
Papers goes in the paper bin, and remember to put it in
FLAT. So can you save the world??
Riddles of the week.
