years

Tevatron keeps providing progress/refinements




Wide spectrum of LHC feasibility studies in both the soft and
hard regime


MB, UE, long distance correlations, Same sign W, 3jet+, mini-jets,
survival of rapidity gaps etc.
MC Models




Rich set of particle level observables (directly comparable with the
predictions of the QCD models)
Brand new measurements: UE in Drell-Yan, MB <PT> vs Nch etc.
Recent progress on UE also from HERA
Refinement of the existing models
MPI now in the new reference MCs: Pythia 8, Herwig++, Sherpa, …
New ideas for the future: dynamical structure of the hadrons, connection



Focus on the MPI measurements at the LHC
including the impact on searches
Prepare the conceptual ground for a uniform
description of the MPI in different contexts




Use the legacy of the HERA/LHC and other recently held w/s
Start a new tradition of MPI@LHC workshops: evaluate the
candidatures for the possible 2009 edition in the final round table
