State-Level Changes
Add Change Delete
Review of the process for
state changes:
NOTE: These changes should not be made in the MCC system or documents yet,
as they have yet to be approved at the state level. When they are approved, we will
submit them through the normal program/course approval process at MCC.
AVT 118 Aviation Safety and Risk Management
Add a new course to CCNS
Faculty member completes
the CCNS course
guide/template and submits
it to the curriculum
committee at the individual
college for approval.
Approved to send to SFCC for review.
As part of the approval
process, the college’s
Curriculum Committee
reviews other courses
currently in the database,
both within and without the
discipline, to ensure that no
other like course exists.
Reviewing some of the documents, there are changes that need to be discussed
and possibly changed including the breakdown of credits to equal exactly 3 credits,
starting descriptions with an action verb, etc. The MCC curriculum committee voted
to approve these courses to send to SFCC with the recommendation that Jaylene
and Barb review the forms and tweak them before Kathy sends them on to SFCC –
that way the SFCC meeting will go much smoother.
Redevelopment of the entire ABM Discipline
Moving from a structure of 2, 9 credit classes per certificate, the ABM discipline is
restructuring to have 6, 3 credit classes for each certificate.

full web page will be created with the new website launch in November.
