Crew Resource Management Training
Information Sophistication
Initiative Progressing
Every day, representatives from our ministries are working to
bring us closer to delivering a connected system of care.
Thanks to the hard work of more than 200 focus group subject matter experts, who have worked diligently since last
October, St. Joseph Health has developed standardized
processes and completed approximately 90 percent of the
design and 60 percent of the build of our standardized
MEDITECH electronic health record (EHR) system.
“The teams at each of the ministries have enthusiastically
jumped in to help, adopting the key tenets of our initiative to
Do, Document and be Done, reducing time, making things
easy to use and meeting all regulatory requirements,” said
Michelle Woodley, SJH vice president, clinical informatics.
Also, on March 26, Covenant Health in Texas kicked off their
local MEDITECH standardization project. At kick-off events,
leaders learned more about how the MEDITECH standardization fits into the larger vision for an integrated health care system. The meetings included details about the new EHR system, upcoming training and communications support. Our
Texas ministries will be the first to implement the standardized EHR and are currently scheduled to go live in September
2013, followed by Northern California ministries in February
2014 and Southern California ministries in June 2014.
Information Sophistication creates the foundation for technological advancements that enable innovation and delivering
Perfect Care to our patients and communities. We thank
everyone for embracing this transformation and sharing our
vision for the future of health care.
