Suncorp announces appointment of non-executive director
On April 7, 2017, the Board of Directors of Suncorp Group announced the appointment
of Mr. Simon Machell as a non-executive director, commencing April 7, 2017. Mr. Machell fills
the vacancy created by the retirement of Mr. Geoff Ricketts in September 2016. Mr. Machell has
close to 30 years’ experience in general and life insurance businesses across the UK, Europe and
Asia, including senior executive roles at Aviva and Norwich Union and, for a time, oversight of
their Australian businesses.
