Grade 4- Unit 4- Division of Whole Numbers Decahedra Division Game Materials: Decahedra dice (4 per pair of players) Calculator (with integer division key) INT ÷ Directions: (1) Two or more players are needed for each game. (2) Each player rolls all four decahedra dice. Each player uses three of the rolled numbers to make a three-digit dividend and the other number as the divisor. Zero may not be used as the first number of the dividend, and it cannot be used as the divisor. (3) Each player finds the quotient of his/her problem. (4) The player with the smallest quotient wins the round. If the two players have the same quotient, then the player with the least remainder is the winner. (5) Allow players to check each other’s solution with a calculator. Sample Game: Player 1: 3 8 Player 2: 9 38 R 6 9 348 4 1 9 0 6 11 R 7 9 106 Player 2 wins.
