Session of clear backcourt strokes between the player and the BKL shuttlecock feeder.
Session of 15 shuttlecocks
Rhythm of 1 shuttlecock every 3 seconds (can be modified if needed)
Mark out the landing areas with a hoop / cardboard box / bucket (easier to count the shuttlecocks)
Launch rhythm : 3 sec
Launch angle : 6
Height of tripod : 1
Improvement of the clear stroke’s power
Improvement of the displacement
Work on the endurance
EXERCISE’S DETAILS
Put the machine on the service’s “T” and orientate the BKL following the
dotted line as below.
One cycle corresponds to the launch of a shuttlecock by the BKL into the
green areas:
• Forehand backcourt stroke (1)
• Mid-court backcourt stroke (2)
• Backhand backcourt stroke (3)
The red area A, B and C are the areas where the player has to send back
the shuttlecocks.
[CYCLE]
The BKL ejects a forehand backcourt stroke (1). The player moves
backwards, then performs a straight clear shot towards the landing area (A).
The player comes back to the home position after his stroke.
The BKL ejects a mid-court backcourt stroke (2). The player moves
backwards, then performs a straight clear shot towards the landing area (B).
The player comes back to the home position after his stroke.

The BKL ejects a backhand backcourt stroke (3). The player moves
backwards, then performs a straight backhand drop towards the landing area
(C). The player comes back to the home position after his stroke.
Repeat this cycle 5 times.
SUCCESS CRITERION
At least 10 shuttlecocks sent back in the red landing areas.
