This meet is intended for swimmers aged 10 & under that wish to compete in their first
gala or more experienced swimmers that are below the county championship standard.
Events for swimmers aged 8 and 9 are :25m Freestyle, 25m Backstroke, 25m Breaststroke and 25m Butterfly
Events for swimmers aged 9 and 10 are :50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly
Swimmers aged 9 may enter either the 25m or the 50m events in each stroke but not both
in the same stroke.
Swimmers may enter a maximum of 4 events.
Attached is a list of B/C Grade times for swimmers aged 9-10 which is for reference only.
Swimmers that finish their event in a time faster than these will be resulted in the B Grade
and slower in the C Grade.
These times do not affect your entry times. Please enter with your current personal best
times.
Age groups are:- 8, 9,10

Meet Information and Rules
1. The competition will be swum under A.S.A Laws and Technical rules and is unlicensed.
2. The pool is 8-lane 25m with anti wave lane ropes and electronic timing.
3. All swimmers must submit an entry time. This meet is intended for non-county swimmers
and all swimmers must be registered with the A.S.A.
4. This meet is first come, first served; therefore the entries received soonest by the
organisers by will be given priority.
5. Entries may be restricted to ensure the meet runs within the ASA guidelines.
6. Entries submitted will be held on computer which implies permission to hold personal
information which will be published before, during and after the meet.
7. Age groups will be 8, 9, 10. Ages on 20th March 2016.
8. Medals will be given to top three in each event in each age group and time band.
9. All competitors must sign in before the start of the gala to confirm their attendance.
10. Swimmers that have not reached the standard of the ASA competitive start award must
start in the water. This is the responsibility of the swimmers’ coach or team manager.
11. All events will be swum on a heat declared winner system and over the top starts may be
used except in backstroke events.
12. Entry fees will be £5.00 for 50 metre events and £4.00 for 25 metre events.
13. No refunds will be given except for swims not accepted by the organisers.
14. Coaches’ passes will be £10.00 each.
15. Spectator entry will be £5.00 per person.
16. Club entries should be made using Hy-Tek Team Manager software and paid for either by
bank transfer or with a consolidated cheque made payable to Hillingdon Swimming Club.
17. All competitors and spectators shall observe the rules of the Hillingdon Sports and Leisure
Complex and comply with any instructions given by their staff.
18. Visiting clubs must an appropriate number of coaches or team managers poolside for the
number of swimmers entering.
19. Parents will not be allowed poolside.
20. Swimmers must not go to the seating area without first drying off and putting on footwear
and clothing.
21. Competitors are requested not to bring large bags poolside for safety reasons. Lockers are
available for £1 (refundable). Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex and Hillingdon
Swimming Club shall not be responsible for loss of property for any reason.
22. Anything not covered by these rules shall be at the discretion of the organisers.
In line with ASA child protection policy, anyone wishing to engage in photography including use of
cameras, video cameras or mobile phones, must register at the spectator entrance and must wear
