Professor Arthur Ellis, Provost of City University of Hong Kong
Professor Geraint Howells, Dean of the School of Law
Professor Sheila Purcell
Professor Purcell is the Director and Clinical Professor of the Center
for Negotiation and Dispute Resolution (CNDR) at University of
California Hastings College of Law. She has over 30 years of experience and expertise in the field, including publications and awards
related to her work in ADR. CNDR hosts over 500 students each
year. Students take dispute resolution courses and master their skills
through the Mediation Clinic, the Externship Program and the
award-winning Mediation and Negotiation Team. In 2012, US News
and World Report ranked CNDR at Hastings in the top ten ADR
programs nationally.
Professor Bryan Clark
Professor Clark is Head of the Law School at University of
Strathclyde. His research interests and expertise are in the areas of
mediation law and policy, mediation and its interactions with
lawyers and courts, and corporate governance issues in company
law. Among his many achievements, Professor Clark is Professor
Clark is a Board Member of the Scottish Mediation Network and
Academic Committee Member of the UK Civil Mediation
Council. His most recent book, Lawyers and Mediation (Springer
2012), was shortlisted for the prestigious International Institute
for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR Institute) 2012
Outstanding Book Award.
Dr Ramandeep Chhina
Dr Chhina is a Lecturer in Business law at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Her research interests and expertise are in
the areas of transnational commercial law with particular focus
on the issues surrounding payment instruments used in
financing international trade. Her accomplishments in ADR
include her work with the United Nations Institute for Training
and Research (UNITAR, Geneva) as a consultant course
director where she assisted in designing, developing and
tutoring various courses, including one on multilateral trade
negotiations.
