PROGRAM:
Associate Director of Education and Instructional Design
Center for Lifelong Learning
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides oversight of essential
operations of the Center for Lifelong Learning, in accordance with OPWDD
regulations and Agency policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 Collaborates with DSPs, Assistant Managers, and Director of Center for
Lifelong Learning to design and implement Institutes for the Center for
Lifelong Learning.
 Explores and develops volunteer opportunities and community integration
opportunities based on individual choice.
 Develops quality improvement initiatives as needed.
 Ensures individual program files (electronic and hard copy) are maintained.
 Ensures individual program plans and safeguards are appropriately trained
to Direct Support Professionals.
 Provides direct support services and models quality service provision daily.
 Ensures individuals rights, satisfaction, and plans of service are upheld.
 Oversee instructional design integrity by setting and monitoring standards,
processes, tools/templates, and guidance.
 Develops curriculum and learning objectives based on person centered
plans

PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:

 Provide leadership to Agency staff by providing positive reinforcement
and direction.
 Maintain confidentiality in regards to all people served and personnel

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor Degree in Education or related field. Experience in
developmental disabilities strongly preferred
 Must possess a valid N.Y.S. driver’s license and driving record considered
acceptable by the Agency and the Agency Insurance Carrier
 Knowledge of goal and lesson plan development preferred
 Ability to transfer individuals with or without mechanical supports
 Position requires the ability to lift and move 50 lbs
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Participates in all Agency required training. Must be free of the communicable
disease of tuberculosis and agree to annual PPD testing.
