An opportunity exists for an apprentice Surveyor within the Leisure and Trade Related Valuation team based in Oxford
(West Way office).
The successful candidate will be part of a team of 12, working closely with 2 Directors, 4 Associate Directors, 1
Associate, 2 Surveyors, a Graduate Surveyor and 2 Support Staff. The department also has teams in Exeter and
Chester.
The types of properties the Department is involved with include golf courses, marinas, visitor attractions, caravan and
holiday parks, equestrian and sports facilities and holiday property in the UK and Europe and occasionally beyond.
The team also values specialist property such as renewable energy facilities, cemeteries and crematoria, recycling
facilities, and food processing facilities amongst others.
We provide valuation, property sales and letting, planning, business rates and professional advice. The role involves
UK wide travel and occasional overnight stays.
As part






of the team you will assist in providing property advice and:
Undertake internet and telephone based research on properties
Accompanying team members on inspections and assist taking photographs and measurements
Assist with database transition and information management
Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
General administration duties
Understanding and developing report writing skills
Working Week
Four full days in the office working hours 8:45am to 5:45pm
One day spent at College / University gaining a foundation degree (during years one and two) and then a full
undergraduate degree (years 3-5)
Salary - Starting salary £15,000 per annum (annual increase based on performance)
Training - A part time undergraduate degree apprenticeship (years 4) leading to MRICS qualification. Full on the job
training for all skills required
Skills Required
Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an apprentice. You will need the ability to
manage a varied workload working as part of a team while also having plenty of your own initiative and be passionate
about delivering the best service possible for your team.







Word and Excel skills
Good written reporting, presentation and numerical skills are essential
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
Good attention to detail
Able to work individually or as part of a team
Punctual, Reliable, keen and enthusiastic
Thirst for knowledge and self motivated
Qualifications Required
 We welcome applications from 18 years upwards but all applicants will be considered on merit.
 You should have the equivalent of 3 A-Levels and may not apply if you already have a degree.
 Must be eligible to live, work and remain in England, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to.
