NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
TO CONSIDER A ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Amherstburg will hold a
public meeting on Monday, February 27, 2017 commencing at 4:30 p.m. in the Town of
Amherstburg Council Chambers, 271 Sandwich Street South, Amherstburg, Ontario, to
consider a proposed amendment to the Town of Amherstburg Zoning By-law 1999-52 under
Section 34 of the Planning Act, RSO 1990 cP.13.
THE SUBJECT LANDS affected by the proposed amendment are described as Part of Lot
67, Concession Road 6 W, municipally known as 6000 County Road 20. The property has
240.65 ft frontage on County Road 20 and 153.80 ft depth with a total area of 0.85 acres
(see key map below).
THE PURPOSE OF THE AMENDMENT TO ZONING BY-LAW No. 1999-52, is to amend
the permitted uses on the subject lands noted above. The parcel is zoned Special Provision
Commercial Neighbourhood (CN-1) Zone in the Town of Amherstburg Zoning By-law 199952, as amended, and designated Neighbourhood Commercial in the Town’s Official Plan.
THE EFFECT OF THE ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT will be to allow for an additional
use on the lands of an 18-hole miniature golf course. The proposed miniature golf course
use will occur on a vacant portion of the subject property. The Zoning By-law Amendment
will also include a definition of “miniature golf course” in Section 2, Definitions, of Zoning Bylaw 1999-52.
The proposed miniature golf course will also be subject to Site Plan Control in accordance
with Section 41 of the Planning Act.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation
in support of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment. We cannot
guarantee the exact time the application will be considered by Council as the time varies
depending on the number of items on the agenda and complexity of each application
brought forward.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or
make written submissions to the Town of Amherstburg before the by-law is passed, the
person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Amherstburg to
the Ontario Municipal Board.
IF A PERSON OR PUBLIC BODY does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or
make written submissions to the Town of Amherstburg before the by-law is passed, the
person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the
Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the Board, there is reasonable grounds to
do so.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment (File #
ZBA/2/17) is available for inspection at the Town of Amherstburg Planning Offices at the
Libro Centre, 3295 Meloche Road, during normal office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or at
the Town website www.amherstburg.ca . If you wish to be notified of the passage of the
proposed by-law you must make a written request to the Town at the address below.

your electrician in choosing appropriate pump assembly.
-Unless otherwise agreed, electrician is responsible for supplying
and installing starters and overloads for Three Phase pumps.
-Owner MUST require Three Phase pumps IN WRITING.
-If the electrical service to your facility is 3 phase power, it is strongly
recommended that 3 phase pumps be used to avoid voltage-related
