



o Will need 6 rooms
Will probably go to student activities for food since it will be a large sum
o Paul – if this is a big event that will draw lots of people, should be able
to give them a larger sum under a different rule
o Manny – shouldn’t be a first time event, should show precedent that
the costs and audience was that high (is harlem ren and wave your
flag)
o Jacob – need to go beyond large turnout, need some sort of binding
option? Need to have a way of quanifying the way who go
o Keshav – no way to force people into things however. Could try to put
foods and events in ‘tiers’ and how to fund that
o Ramy – no thin line between integral food and cultural food
 Paul & Jacob – could be considered the same thing as well
o Keshav – could put cultural food under integral food?
 Jacob – not mutually exclusive
Tier idea?
o Keep intro food and discussion food at 50
o Then BC can use their discretion to put event into a tier of how much
to fund
o Manny – this could be seen as pre-evaluating the value of an event
o Manny – can include a clause that this is for clubs that have proven
that certain event has this type of turnout to have the ability to get
additional funds – need to look at precedence
o Paul – concerns about future uses of discretion
o Manny – continuity of BC members?
o Keshav – new BC could also make a new rule to negate this
o Paul – ‘hallmark events’ get more? Should this be quantifies (over 150
people for the past 2 years)?
What are criteria of hallmark events?
o Had the event with 200 people or more in attendance
o Should have happened already once in the past – must have been the
prior year
o Paul – could have variability though?
o Manny – if it’s a large event, shouldn’t have this type of variability
o Would still have funding through student activities for this trial period
anyways

o Change to 150 students?
