RESIDENTS PARKING SCHEME
WEST END ZONE Q
If you are moving to, or are resident in the West End Zone Q Residents Parking zone, you maybe
eligible for a Residents Parking Permit. Please contact Customer Services on 01524 582972 to check
eligibility.
Please note there is NO restriction on the number of Parking Permits that can be issued. The scheme
operates on the basis of Residents Permit holders being exempt from the Limited Waiting
restrictions.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Limited Waiting restrictions operate from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Saturday and cover the
area on the zone map. Resident permit holders are exempt from the limited waiting restrictions set
out below:1.
On-street parking spaces fronting Parliament Street are subject to a time period of 1 hour with
no return within 2 hours.

On-street parking spaces fronting East Street and part of Devonshire Road are subject to a
time period of 2 hours with no return within 4 hours.
Residents who live in premises fronting the relevant streets maybe entitled to a Residents Parking
Permit. Residents means a person whose usual place of abode is at premises fronting the lengths of
East Street or Parliament Street between the junctions of West Street and Regent Road and
Devonshire Road between the junction of East Street and Clarendon Road West.
PLEASE NOTE THAT RESIDENT VISITOR CARDS, TRADESPERSONS PERMITS AND CARER
PERMITS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS PARKING ZONE.
Residents Permits are only valid in the zone for which they are issued. A Residents Permit does not
guarantee a parking place.
All the information supplied will be processed by computer. Any disclosures will be in accordance
with the Council’s registration under the Data Protection Act of 1998.
PERMIT CHARGES
Annual Permits from 1st April to 31st March are £15.00 per year or part year.
PAYMENTS AND APPLICATIONS
PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE BY EITHER DEBIT/CREDIT CARD, CHEQUE OR POSTAL ORDER AT CUSTOMER
SERVICES LANCASTER OR MORECAMBE TOWN HALL. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH
PAYMENTS.
YOU CAN ALSO POST YOUR COMPLETES APPLICATION TOGETHER, WITH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS AND
CHEQUE OR POSTAL ORDER DIRECT TO ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, PARKING OFFICE, WHITE LUND
DEPOT, WHITE LUND ROAD MORECAMBE LA3 3DT.
CHEQUES AND/OR POSTAL ORDERS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO LANCASTER CITY COUNCIL.
