Year 11 Camp - All Saints Anglican School


1 Night Camp Out=2 half days of hiking
with a pack

1 night in residential accommodation. 1
night whole year level camp out on oval

Combination of Higher Ground activities
and All Saints directed activities
Groups are arranged around Houses
 Each House will be split into 2 mixed
groups
 Your tutor will supervise one group and
your HOH will supervise the other.
 You will do most activities this week as a
House group
 Cabins will be organised by Mr. Evans
and will be based around House groups.

Footwear-Shoes that you would be
happy to run 10 km in.
 Jeans are not comfortable to hike in
 Your shirt needs sleeves and a collar
 If you want it, you have to be willing to
carry it on your own back.
 Sleeping bag-borrow a small one
 Clothes to hike 2 days in, clothes to sleep
in and that’s all you need.

Each student in Year 11 will be creating
a pod on camp that will be placed on a
totem pole. The totem will stand in the
Year 12 area for the duration of 2016.
 Each person’s pod will be displayed
House by House on the totem.
 In service for this will be held over the
next 3 weeks. Start thinking about what
will go in your pod.


the future as part of the Grade 12 class
of 2016


Prepare students mentally, physically and
spiritually for their upcoming Year 12 year.
Explore issues relating to leadership,
initiative, compassion, character and
resilience
Further enhance House spirit
Further develop the connection that exists
between student, the Head of House and
the respective tutor.
Encourage the class of 2016 to work
together and bond as a collective unit in
preparation for the challenges that lie
ahead
Make sure you have packed all the items
on the Higher Ground Camp list.
 Make sure you bring no electronic
devices. (Including Phones – there is no
reception anyway)
 Bring your House Shirt.
Remember – no thongs – you must wear
closed in shoes at all times so bring 2
pairs. One will get wet.
 Have shirts that provide sun protection.
Higher Ground will not let you take part
in activities if you are in a loose singlet
top.
 Bring the items for your POD. (put them in
this zip lock bag if you wish)

Pack your positive attitude.
 Monday September 7 – Bus Departs
School at 7:00am
 Thursday September 10 – Bus returns at
3:00pm
 Friday September 11 – Enjoy a sleep in
but all students must be at school by
12:00pm for Sport.

