For each medal played, the first five(5) positions in each flight Net will
receive points to count towards the championship. Points will be
awarded as follows: 1st -5 points, 2nd -4 points, 3rd -3 points, 4th -2
points, 5th -1 point, with a total of 15 points for each medal. In the event
of ties places for points will be determined by count back.
For 2017 Gross scores in a medal will count towards points for the
Medal Championships where there will be an overall Gross Champion.
For each medal played the first three (3) positions will receive points.
1st -3 points, 2nd -2 points, 3rd -1 points.
The first six (6) places and ties at the end of 2017, will go forward to a
special playoff tournament to be played in January 2018, where an
overall will emerge as the champion for each flight for 2017. You must
play in at least four (4) medals to qualify to play in the playoff
tournament. There will be a prize for each championship flight winner.
For the purposes of these Tournaments a SENIOR IS DEFINED AS A
PLAYER WHO IS (60) SIXTY YEARS OLD AND OVER, AS SUCH
THEY CAN, IF THEY WISH, PLAY OFF THE WHITE TEES
USING THEIR HANDICAPS INDICATED ON THE HANDICAP
INDEX SHEET.
HOWEVER IF YOU DECLARE TO, OR WISH TO PLAY IN,
THE MEN’S 0-12 OR THE 13+ HANDICAP FLIGHTS YOU
MUST PLAY OFF THE BLUE TEES.
As well as monthly winners and overall champions 2017 will see the
introduction of a 3 month winner. This means every 3 months the lowest
cumulative nett score across all flights will be awarded a prize (One
winner, NOT one winner for each category). You must play in all 3
medals and the months MUST be played consecutively and will be
broken down as below:

April-June
July-Sept
October-December
