FIRST TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP A BIG SUCCESS! One hundred and fifty-five teams, compiled of over three hundred anglers took part in the inaugural Toyota Bonus Bucks Bassmaster Team Championship in Bismarck, Arkansas at DeGray Lake. Thirty-eight trails representing twenty-two states and Canada participated in the Team Championship with 90% of qualifying teams making the trip to Arkansas. Arkansas anglers and Fishers of Men teammates Flannagan Fife and Royce Davis captured the trophy and made history as the first Team Championship winners. The victors’ spoils included a Nitro Z7 bass boat with a Mercury Optimax 150 Pro XS outboard rig and the Livingston Lures Leader Award of $500. In addition, over $60,000 in cash was awarded to competitors. Fife and Davis won with a total of 26 pounds, 8 ounces over Brandon Gray and Todd Massey. Jon Griffith and John Stewart Jr rounded out the top 3, and all three teams made it to the next round to fish it out for the one remaining 2015 GEICO Bassmaster Classic berth. Skeeter and Yamaha provided the six anglers competing for the spot in the Classic with Skeeter FX20/Yamaha 250 SHOs. After two more days of competition, it was Brandon Gray who took claim of the 2015 Classic berth with a 7-pound margin of victory, and a Skeeter FX20/Yamaha 250 SHO which he will compete out of in Greenville.
