Curricular News
Topic - Our topic for term 1 will be “All The Same, But Different”. As part of our
interdisciplinary topic we will be doing lots of talking about ourselves, including our
‘favourites’ and our families. We will be learning about our bodies and our five
senses, including drawing and labelling the basic body parts. We will also be learning
about how to look after our bodies and the importance of hygiene and healthy
eating.
Literacy - We have been developing our listening skills and enjoyed learning about
rhyme whilst reciting our favourite nursery rhymes and songs. We are working hard
to learn how to write our letters and numbers correctly and enjoy making them with
playdough and in the sand!
Numeracy – This term we will be focusing on developing our number knowledge as
well as learning about pattern, measure and shape. We will be measuring items all
around our school, including ourselves! We particularly enjoyed making lots of
patterns with different shapes and also playing with our number puppets!
