Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History
Campaign Contest Rules & Regulations
CONTEST:
The following rules and regulations are applicable to the contest described hereafter (the “Contest”), which is being
conducted by Cystic Fibrosis Canada (“CFC”) in connection with CFC’s Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History (the
“Walk”). The Contest will consist of two types of draws: (i) monthly draws; and (ii) the Grand Prize draws. The
eligibility requirements and methods of entry differ for the monthly draws as compared to the grand prize draws.
Details related to each type of draw are described below.
The Contest period begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on February 1, 2017, and ends at
11:59:59 p.m. (EST) on June 30, 2017 (the “Contest Period”).
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for entry in a Contest draw, an individual must be a resident of Canada from the start of the “Contest
Period”. Eligible participants must also be over the age of majority in the province of their residence by the end of the
“Contest Period” or have the permission of a parent or guardian to accept the reward, if won.
Employees of CFC or the sponsors and prize partners of the Walk, employees of any affiliates of CFC or such
sponsors and prize partners, and the immediate family members of any such employees (father/mother,
brother/sister, son/daughter) or persons living under the same roof as any such employees are not eligible to win
prizes as a result of Contest draws.
Only Registered Walkers (as defined hereinafter) will be eligible for participation in the monthly draws.
HOW TO ENTER MONTHLY DRAWS
No purchase is required.
Entry Details:
To enter, you must be an individual who has registered to participate in the Walk (a “Registered Walker”), by
completing the online registration at www.cysticfibrosis.ca/walk prior to the Walk (which is scheduled to take place on
May 28, 2017). A registration shall not be considered complete unless, in the course of the registration process, the
Registered Walker has (i) provided a valid email address; and (ii) completed the provided waiver agreement.
During the Contest Period, when a Registered Walker achieves or surpasses (in online, verified funds) a fundraising
milestone (a “Fundraising Milestone”), as described below, prior to the end of a particular Contest Period month, the
name of the Registered Walker will be entered into a draw to win the monthly prize that corresponds to such
Fundraising Milestone. The Fundraising Milestones and the prizes related to each are as follows:
Fundraising Milestones1
Raise $25 - $99 in online verified funds to be entered to win a $20 coffee gift card
Raise $100 - $249 in online verified funds to be entered to win $50 in movie tickets
Raise $250 - $499 in online verified funds to be entered to win $100 in clothing gift cards
1
CFC shall have sole discretion to select the vendors from which CFC will procure Fundraising Milestone prizes. All such prizes will
be subject to the relevant vendor’s typical terms and conditions for such prize items.
Raise $500+ in online verified funds to be entered to win $250 in pre-paid credit cards.
At the end of each month of the Contest Period CFC will have draws to identify one prize winner for each of the four
Fundraising Milestone categories identified above. For the avoidance of doubt, a Registered Walker may achieve or
surpass up to four monthly Fundraising Milestones in each month from February to June. For example, a Registered
Walker who raises more than $500 in online verified funds during the month of March will have their name entered
into the draws carried out at the end of March for each of (i) the coffee card, (ii) the movie tickets, (iii) the clothing gift
cards, and (iv) the pre-paid credit cards.
Milestone draws will take place at the end of each month (February to June).

Description of Grand Prizes:
There are two (2) grand prizes available to be won, which are comprised of:
1.
A voucher valued at approximately CAD$500 that may be used towards railway travel within Canada.
Destinations shall be limited to Canadian destinations that are accessible by country-wide service providers
of passenger rail service in Canada.
2.
Two (2) Economy Class, round trip airline tickets to fly on Air Canada airline from a Canadian international
airport to any Air Canada scheduled destination in North America, including Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean
and select sun destinations. The approximate value of this prize is $2,750. This prize is subject to Air
Canada’s typical terms and conditions for Economy Class tickets.
Grand prizes include only what is specifically described herein and no other allowances will be granted. Each winner
and her/his travel companion will be responsible for payment of all other travel expenses including, but not limited to:
(i) meals and beverages; (ii) transportation costs to and from train stations or airports, as applicable; (iii) travel
insurance; (iv) taxes, gratuities, tips; and (v) any personal expenses related to travel.
There will be only 1 winner selected for each grand prize. All entries will be eligible to win each of the grand prizes, as
a result, it is possible that the same entry could win both grand prizes.
DRAWING PRIZE WINNERS
The aggregate value of all monthly prizes and all grand prizes to be awarded under this Contest will be approximately
CAD$5,750.
Each prize will be awarded as a result of a random draw from all eligible entries for such prize. All draws will be
conducted by a CFC staff member and will take place at the CFC offices in Toronto, Ontario.
Monthly draws will take place on the first business day of the month that follows the Contest month during which draw
entries were accumulated by participants (i.e., the monthly draws for February’s monthly prizes will be held on the
first business day of March), subject to these Contest rules. The grand prize draws will take place in July.
You do not need to be present at any draw in order to win. Each prize will be awarded to the person named in the first
entry drawn for such prize, subject to these Contest rules, if the person named (i) correctly answers, without human,
mechanical, electronic or other assistance, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by
CFC during a pre-arranged, mutually convenient telephone call (if the selected person is under the age of 13, such
question may, at CFC’s sole option, be answered by a parent or legal guardian of such person, without human,
mechanical, electronic or other assistance), and (ii) otherwise complies with these Contest rules.
The chance of being selected as the prize winner for any prize will depend on the number of eligible entries received
for such prize draw.
The entrant whose entry is drawn for a prize will be contacted by phone or email. In order to be declared the winner,
the selected entrant (and/or a parent/legal guardian if a minor) must sign and return (within 14 days of the date on
which it is delivered to the address on entrant’s entry or registration form, as applicable) a Declaration of Compliance,
Release and Publicity Consent, in the form required by CFC. If a selected entrant does not comply with these contest
rules or cannot be contacted within 7 days of the draw, that entry will be declared void and a further entry will be
drawn at CFC’s discretion. If a selected entrant cannot use or chooses not to use any portion of the prize that the
entrant was won, that portion of the prize will be deemed to be forfeited and no substitution or other compensation will
be awarded. Each winner’s name, the fact that he/she is the winner of this contest, his/her city name, photo and/or
likeness may be published in a Walk or CFC newsletter or on the Walk or on the CFC’s website at
www.cysticfibrosis.ca.

violation of the Contest rules, attempting to participate in the Contest more than the maximum number of
times allowed, or to be acting with the intent to disrupt the normal operation of the Contest, as determined by
