COURSE OBJECTIVES
 developing your BUSINESS COMMUNICATION SKILLS
(written and oral)
 acquiring SPECIALIST VOCABULARY (on selected
business topics)
 developing your CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS (analysis,
synthesis, foreseeing, deducing, selecting...)
 better understanding of the difference between
written/spoken language and formal/informal
language (REGISTER)

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
 REGULAR ATTENDANCE is obligatory (70% of classes)
 active CLASS PARTICIPATION
 CONTRIBUTION TO CLASS WORK (home assignments,
research, project work, studying)
 passing the PROGRESS TESTS (2 written tests)
 WRITTEN REPORT on a selected task
 performance in a ROLE-PLAYED MEETING – team work
 passing the FINAL ORAL EXAM (ability to clearly and
coherently discuss business topics covered by the
course using the RELEVANT BUSINESS ENGLISH
VOCABULARY, as well as express a viewpoint on a
topical issue (advantages/ disadvantages,
agreeing/disagreeing)
