Introduction
Modified Football Operations Manager
The Modified program in the HFL starts later than normal senior football from U13’s and above and finishes earlier than the
normal football season capped off with a Modified Junior Carnival normally occurring in early August of each year. The cost
for each participant is $130.00. All children wishing to participate MUST register online before the season commences or on
the one Club Registration Day that is managed through the MLDFC Junior Committee and Junior Coordinator.
Objectives


To oversee all football related matters across the Modified Football Program with the Club Junior Coordinator [Director]
and Junior Development and Auskick Coordinator (JDAC).
To ensure all players in the Modified teams are registered in accordance with the HFL rules and regulations.
Responsibilities

 Liaises with the Club Junior Coordinator [Director], JDAC and Junior Committee
 Liaises with the Coaches and Team Managers for advice on correct procedures for permits and transfers
 Liaises with HFL Junior Committee

Accountability
 Reports to the Junior Coordinator and Junior Committee
 Seek ratification from the appropriate Committee member prior to committing the Club to any financial expenditure or
action.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
 Identify the number of modified junior teams at the beginning of the season
 Identify the number of U13 and U15 junior teams at the beginning of the season
 Check that all modified grades players are Registered within the HFL guidelines
 All Coaches to be suitably qualified within the HFL guidelines
 All Coaches, Team Managers and Team Officials to have National Police Clearance in accordance with Attachment 2
Screening Requirements, MLDFC Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policy
 To follow up with Team Managers/Coaches of all modified teams, provide guidance on MLDFC Code of Conduct and
Child Protection Policy in accordance with Clubs and ensure players are registered and able to play in accordance with
HFL rules and guidelines.
 Process for purchase of footballs, Guernsey’s and sundries for game day for all modified grades
 Number of games played by player
 Follow up with Junior Committee Treasurer on outstanding fees for Modified Grade players. Team managers of
Modified Football teams must manage the outstanding fees of players in their team
 Pass onto Junior Coordinator modified grade player updated contact details to ensure club database is always accurate.
 Work with all Team Managers and Coaches to prepare a roster to undertake BBQ duties and clean up Stirling Oval (and
at Heathfield Oval on occasions it is used) from the parents and family for each of the HOME GAMES modified grade
competition matches ONLY
 Manage the attendance and set-up of MLDFC Modified teams at the HFL Modified Carnivals (one day for U8 &U9, and
one day following week for U10 & U11’s in July/August and set-up of the Clubs
 Manage and coordinate with Sturt Football Club of a representative MLDFC made-up 16-20 players from Mt. Lofty FC
(Year 7’s to be selected first then Year 6’s ) to represent the Sturt Football Club (wearing the IGA sponsors
guernseys) in a Mini League game in August/September
 Provide assistance to the MLDFC Auskick coordinator as needed
 Attend the monthly HFL Junior Football meetings at beginning of season for the modified competition only, and the
monthly Junior Football Committee meetings
