Type of Contract Individual Contract Post Level: Individual Consultant Languages Required: English Days of Work 17 days Project Develop Training Manual on Integrating SOGI and GBV into HIV/AIDS Background Initially established in 1996 as a project of International HIV/AIDS Alliance and officially registered as a local NGO in 2000, KHANA is the largest national, non-governmental organization to provide HIV prevention, care and treatment services in Cambodia. Its programs focus on HIV prevention, particularly among key populations (KP) – entertainment workers (EW), men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender (TG) people, and drug users – sero-discordant couples and young people, as well as providing care to adults and children living with and affected by HIV. Since its inception, KHANA, with its partner organizations, has greatly contributed to the national HIV response through robust integrated HIV programming, innovative approaches in HIV prevention, care and treatment, comprehensive family planning and livelihood initiatives, and strong advocacy for rights and access to health services and fair treatment for KP and people living with HIVs. Since October 2012, with funding support from USAID/Cambodia through a five-year USAID/ Flagship project, a number of program and technical innovations which are defined as creative solutions (which are different from or complementary to the existing models) have been developing to address current issues in HIV prevention, care and treatment. An effort is initiated aiming to integrate the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) into the HIV/AIDS programs to ensure the HIV-related issues are well captured and addressed. KHANA is now recruiting a competent consultant to develop the training manual on the integration of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) into HIV/AIDS Programs. The training manual will be used to train health service providers, implementing partners and community networks purposely to provide the knowledge of GBV and SOGI and to reduce stigma and discrimination against Key Population and PLHIV in community and healthcare setting. II. Purpose of consultancy The objectives of this assignment are: - To develop a comprehensive training manual on integrating Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity into the HIV/AIDS programs 1 - III. To lead rolling out the GBV and SOGI training among KHANA staffs, CoEs/implementing partners, community networks and health service providers Task and Activities of TS assignment a. Training manual development: o o o o Conduct desk review Conduct technical meetings with CoEs, networks, service provider and health experts to capture related information, contents and approaches Lead overall writing processes of training manual development Consult regularly with KHANA/Obj-4 for inputs on contents b. Lead the training facilitation: o o o IV. Work with KHANA/Obj-4 to organize two trainings to KHANA’s staff, IPs/CoEs, community networks and health service providers level Lead overall facilitation in trainings – rolling out the training manual Produce training report Key Deliverable/Expected Outputs This assignment is expected to come up with the below products and services: - One comprehensive training manual on integrating GBV and SOGI into HIV/AIDS programs Facilitate in two trainings (one is for KHANA, IPs/CoEs and community networks, and another one is for health services providers) Produce training report All deliverables are expected to be completed and submitted to KHANA no later than 30th July 2017. V. VI. Required Profile At least 7 years experiences on training manuals or training curriculums development At least 5 years experiences in HIV sector At least a Master’s degree either in Gender, Human Rights, Social Sciences and related field Proven of excellent in writing and oral presentation skills Prior demonstrated experiences on delivering training at national or sub-national levels on the relevant topics High knowledge of SOGI, GBV, Human Rights, Public Health, stigma and discrimination Good communications, interpersonal and collaboration skills TS Liaison and Supervision: The consultant will report directly to Ms. Sou Sochenda, Manager of OID, and seek technical consultation with KHANA management team. The consultant will work closely with members of Objective-4. Administration task including agreement and payment will be supported by KHANA TS Hub. The consultant is expected to produce a detailed work plan and timeline for this assignment, including expected outputs and deliverables, against which his/her progress and performance will be monitored and assessed upon completion of the project. 2
