The Board of Directors of the Alpine Village-Sequoia Crest Community Services District
appreciates the overwhelming support by property owners in the District for our proposed
new fee schedule for snow removal. The revised fee structure reflects current costs for
plowing in each of the three communities, then factoring in the number of lots sharing that
cost. The Board has approved the following fees for 2014-2015:
Alpine Village:
Unimproved parcel
Improved parcel
$30.00
$72.00
Upper Alpine:
Unimproved parcel
Improved parcel
$150.00
$450.00
Sequoia Crest:
Unimproved parcel
Improved parcel
APN 220-330-007-000
$36.00
$126.00
$252.00
This fee schedule treats properties previously not assessed, or assessed higher fees due to
their “Commercial” zoning, as standard improved/unimproved parcels. This uniformity in fee
calculation will apply until such time as a property is brought into actual commercial use.
The described assessments will be placed on the Tulare County Property Tax Roll to be
collected with the general property taxes. This is not a bill. Please do not pay directly.
Anyone wishing to appeal their assessment may do so at a Public Hearing on Saturday,
May 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM. This Hearing, held in past years at Alpine Park, will be held
at 54560 Ponderosa Drive, Sequoia Crest. A Regular Meeting of the Board will follow.
Please note: If you no longer own property in the District, or if your mailing address has
changed, please notify the District at the above address. Also send notification of any changes
to: Tulare County Assessor, Courthouse, Visalia, CA 93291.
In an effort to reduce administrative costs, the Board intends to send future notices by email
to those property owners who have provided email addresses. If you prefer to continue to
receive hard copies by mail, please let us know at either [email protected] or 559-5422253. And if you have an email address, but have not yet given it to us, please consider doing
so. All owners without email will, of course, continue to receive mailed notices.
Reminders: It is illegal to park on the roads during winter months, as the road crew cannot
remove snow if the roads are blocked. Also, we recommend placing protective boards over
road-facing windows if you leave for any extended period of time. Please contact one of the
Directors, rather than road crew members, regarding any snow removal issues.
