At Blackthorn Golf Club we
believe love of the game knows
no age, and that it actually begins
very early. To promote and grow
the game of golf, we’re offering a
great summer camp experience
for students between the ages of
6 and 13. We offer a fun, positive
group environment with team
competitions and prizes all week
long.
Campers coming to Blackthorn this
summer will learn the fundamentals
of the game from our instructional
staff and coaches who have years
of experience on the course. We
also place a big emphasis on
learning the values and integrity
upon which the game of golf was
created.
At the end of each camp session
on Friday, we have lunch for the
kids and an awards ceremony. So
take dead aim at the pin and sign
up for a great week of golf at an
outstanding facility!

GREG KIZER
MEET OUR LEAD INSTRUCTOR
A South Bend native, Greg Kizer grew
up playing the game of golf and
beginning his career at Blackthorn
Golf Club. He has competed on many
level of golf... From local, state, and
national events to receiving his degree
in Golf Course Business Management,
earning certifications in club repair,
fitting, tournament operations, and
advanced golf instruction from the
Golf Academy of America. Greg has
been a professional golf instructor for
17 years, with extensive experience in
junior golf instruction.

is my passion, so being the Director of
Instruction at Blackthorn is a dream
come true. It’s important to develop
that passion and get young golfers

they can get the most enjoyment out
of the time they spend at the practice
facilities and on the course.

$150 for a one-week session
$50 discount for additional weeks
No clubs required to attend;
however, if you have clubs, please
bring them.

PROGRAM DETAILS
REGISTRATION
•All campers will receive a Blackthorn gift
pack, which includes a logo ball, tees,
and a large bucket of balls.
•All camp sessions include
comprehensive instruction, covering
all aspects of golf from certified golf
professionals and including
on-course play one day in the week
with a 5:1 camper-to-coach ratio.
Golf swing fundamentals are taught,
including grip, stance, alignment,
and posture.
•Full-swing balance, power, and inswing principles are also part of the
instructional process.
•Addressing the short game, our
instructors teach the basics of putting,
chipping, pitching, and bunker play.
