Let the Children Come
Mark 10:13-16
13 And
they were bringing children to him
that he might touch them, and the
14
disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus
saw it, he was indignant and said to them,
“Let the children come to me; do not
hinder them, for to such belongs the
15
kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you,
whoever does not receive the kingdom of
16
God like a child shall not enter it.” And
he took them in his arms and blessed
them, laying his hands on them.

15 Folly
is bound up in the heart of a child,
but the rod of discipline will drive it far
away. (Proverbs 22:15)
13 Do
not withhold discipline from a child;
if you punish them with the rod, they will
14 not die. Punish them with the rod and
save them from death. (Proverbs 23:13-14)
15 A
rod and a reprimand impart wisdom,
but a child left undisciplined disgraces its
mother. (Proverbs 29:15)
Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart
from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
Whoever spares the rod hates their
children, but the one who loves their
children is careful to discipline them.
(Proverbs 13:24)
