Estill Middle Golfers Win Two Over Weekend
A big congratulations
goes out to Estill County
Middle School Golf teams.
Saturday Estill hosted ten
middle school golf teams
at Madison Country Club
in Richmond. There were
teams from Shelby Valley,
Mason County, Russell
County, Pikeville, Hazard,
Lexington Christian, and
Lexington Homeschool.
One of our teams won
the tournament with a score
of 331 and the other team
placed fourth with a score of
380. Estill’s first place team
beat the second place team
Lexington Christian by 12
strokes.
Isaac Napier placed first
out of male golfers with a
great score of 71 which was
one under. Cobbe Click and
Kade Benton placed third
out of all male golfers with
a score of 81. There was
only one third place trophy
and Cobbe got it when they
compared them hole to hole
on last 9 holes. Maddie Jo
Benton placed second in the
girls division.
Very proud of our middle
school golfers.
The future looks bright
for Estill County Golf.
Congratulations go out
again to Estill County JV
golfers. One of their teams
won the Grant County Classic at Northern Ky Golf
Course on Sunday September 18. the team from Estill that won first place was
made up of Joe Benton,
Isaac Napier, Cobbe Click
and Andrew Elam.
This tournament was
only a 9 hole tournament
rather than the traditional 18

the tournament by shooting a 160 with Fort Thomas
Highlands finishing second
with a score of 166. There
were a total of 12 teams
there from Fort Thomas
Highlands, Mason County,

Grant County and Bishop
Brossart. Estill’s second JV
team shot well and came in
seventh overall with a score
of 190.
Joe Benton had the lowest score of all 56 individual golfers and received
a trophy for his excellent
finish. Joe finished with a
two under par with a score
of thirty four. Isaac Napier
and Cobbe Click both shot a
three over par for a score of
