Next season at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc promises to be sporty and full of dynamism.
The hotel property , a jewel of Oetker Collection, offers tennis fans an unforgettable encounter
with Michaël Llodra, a professional tennis player and 2012 Olympic medallist.
Michaël was born in Paris and started playing tennis when he was a child. He began his career as
a professional tennis player in 1999, at the age of 19. Between 1999 and 2014, he won five ATP
(Association of Tennis Professionals) titles in singles and twenty-five titles in men's doubles,
including three Grand Slams (the Australian Open in 2003 and 2004, Wimbledon in 2007), three
Masters 1000 events and a Masters Cup. As a serve and volley player and doubles specialist, he
held the best French record in this latter discipline in terms of the number of Grand Slam and
Masters 1000 titles won. He then joined the French Davis Cup team. In partnership with
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, he won the silver medal in the men’s doubles at the London 2012 Olympics.
Michaël Llodra retired from professional tennis in 2015 and became a consultant commentator
for Roland Garros and Wimbledon, then ambassador for the Bordeaux Tournament and coambassador for the Orléans Open. In 2016, he commentated on the tennis at the Rio Olympics
for France Télévisions.
Michaël Llodra is also a great lover of wine and oenology, and will share his two passions
between 11 and 14 May 2017.

property.
