A new Attendance Management Policy
has been approved and will be
implemented from 1 October 2016.
The main changes are how disability
related absence is managed, and in the
case of long term absence, where there
is clear evidence that the employee will
not return to work in the foreseeable
future, giving the manager the option of
arranging a Stage 3 earlier than six

Site assessments have taken place with
a view to introduce ‘news screens’ in
front line depots. Information will include
feeds from the MDC social media and
web pages. We are also adding more
attachments to news stories on the
intranet so managers can print them off
and add them to notice boards. Based
on the staff survey 75% of staff said
they received information from Bev’s
Blog, the Intranet and 121 meetings.
