Lastly you will develop as a leader, as you will be expected to mentor and coach junior associates as well as lead work-streams and projects. The ultimate objective when new Senior Associates and Managers join Novantas is to help them develop skills and demonstrate the necessary business performance to become a Managing Director at the firm or become a leader at another organization. These particular positions are within our Marketing and Distribution Services (MDS) team. The MDS team focuses on developing top of the house go-to-market strategies for retail banks. We also advise our clients on how to optimize their necessary investments by providing guidance on different levers such as marketing and the physical network, allowing banks to maximize revenue and profits. Primary job responsibilities include: Leading work-streams: defining issues, developing hypotheses, conducting analyses to validate the hypothesis, designing analytical tools, leading client meetings, and formulating deliverables for clients Identifying new intellectual capital opportunities for the firm and working with other team members to bring new products to the market place Recognizing new opportunities stemming from current or past project work to help pursue additional project work Assisting with the creation of sales materials Developing a professional network and maintaining relationships with clients Mentoring and coaching junior staff to help them grow and perform at a level that will challenge them professionally Candidates should have the following background, skills and characteristics: 3+ years experience as a management consultant, preferably in either a major strategy firm or internal strategy group Proven track record of leading teams to deliver complex, time-sensitive work to clients, whether external or internal 2+ years of experience using SQL and excel to conducting analysis and presenting the analysis to senior leadership Experience developing and training staff in core consulting project management capabilities Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a particular focus on effective storytelling and logical presentation Ability to work independently; demonstrated ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and changing environment Excellent organizational and time management skills; attention to detail Ability to travel as needed for client meetings; can range from 0% to 100% depending on engagement Bachelors and/or MBA degree from a top tier university Novantas currently has offices in New York, Chicago and Toronto.
