FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WILL KING’S CASINO BREAK THE RECORD FOR THE LARGEST PLAYING FIELD IN A EUROPEAN POKER TOURNAMENT OVER 100K NOVEMBER 3 AT WSOPE? Three of the finalists from the WSOP Las Vegas $111,111 High Roller for One Drop are amongst the 84 registered for first European High Roller for One Drop Tweet it: @PokerroomKings to welcome 84 players for the #HighRoller1Drop of #WSOPE! Join the cause @Allinfor1Drop LAS VEGAS, Nevada – June 8th, 2017 – Following a four day thrilling battle the $111,111 One Drop High Roller gold bracelet went to US professional and media personality Doug Polk, who scooped a whopping $3.68M from a field of 130 entries. This event has seen the poker community unite once more to show their support for One Drop, official charitable partner of WSOP, with $505,570 raised for safe water access initiatives worldwide! Polk has been a regular in One Drop tournaments since 2013 and One Drop hopes to see him again as they move their events to King’s Casino, Rozvadov, the largest poker room in Europe, on November 3, 2017 where the next €111,111 One Drop High Roller will take place as part of WSOPE. Three players from the final table, namely 2nd place winner Bertrand ‘Elky’ Grospellier, Rainer Kempe and Andrew Robl, are amongst 84 individuals who have already made a €11,111 euro deposit, securing their spots in the 111-player capped tournament. It’s this strong pre-registration – a first for any One Drop Tournament – that led Leon Tsoukernik, Czech entrepreneur and owner of King’s Casino, to add the massive €10,000,000 GUARANTEED PRIZEPOOL. This event welcomes businessmen, philanthropists and professionals alike in a continued effort to raise funds and awareness for critical water issues. "All of us at King's would love to congratulate Doug Polk on his fantastic win and we extend a very warm welcome to him to play our €111k One Drop at the WSOPE in November,” said Tsoukernik, “This One Drop high roller will be the richest non-invitational tournament in European poker history and with 84 deposits already put down and the field capped at 111 we encourage players to commit sooner rather than later!" Alongside the notable High Rollers for One Drop Event, the Little One for One Drop will also be seen twice this year; on July 11th at WSOP Las Vegas and on November 1st at King’s, preceding the €111,111 High Roller for One Drop. This charitable poker tournament will have a buy-in of €1,100 and a guarantee of €500,000. It is now clear that the events in Rozvadov will bring the amount raised through the partnership between One Drop and WSOP since 2012 to surpass the $20,000,000 mark, a symbolic milestone that signifies a tremendous support from the poker community. To date, the funds raised by One Drop’s poker initiatives have contributed to changing the lives of nearly 160,000 people in India, West Africa and Latin America and in 2017, One Drop foresees an even greater influence for universal and sustainable access to water, sanitation and hygiene. To increase its impact and further leverage occasions to raise funds to transform the life of tens of thousands of more individuals through these projects, One Drop is pleased to collaborate with King’s Casino during their multi-year agreement with the WSOP with the two tournaments in Rozvadov. This fall is a bold next step, but just a first in a series. For clarity, King’s’ Leon Tsoukernik has asked for the list of registrations and €11k non-refundable deposits to be published and it is done so below.
