Our desire is to make things run even more smoothly while increasing our offerings and benefits to participants. Stabling ● NEW FOR 2017: Shavings are available from First Fruits Feed. Please order through the form on our website and call First Fruits directly to pay. ● Stabling is available all weekend for $65 or $40 per day. ● Priority is given to completed entries based on date received. ● Tack stalls are available as space allows and for trainers with 6 or more horses. Priority given to horses staying the full weekend and to horse use first. Two Rings, Two Days ● Both jumper and hunter days will now feature classes in Ring 2. ● Junior classes will come before senior classes in hunters in Ring 2 with the ground pole division completing entirely before the cross bars begins. ● In jumpers, ground poles through 0.65m will be hosted in Ring 2, featuring 3 optimum time rounds per division. As before, there will be no flowers or fill in Ring 2 jumps. Schooling ● Schooling will be available to LWSC members on Friday night (12pm-dusk), Saturday night (once the new course is set), Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6:30-7:45am, and during the show in the warm-up arena. ● 15 minute schooling breaks in Ring 2 at each height change (between ground poles and crossbars, and again between crossbars and 18”) for participants to safely warm up. Jumper Tables ● There will be three rounds at each height for jumpers as well as a champion and reserve in each division. ● Table 2 Sec 1 - “Speed” - timed first round, no jump-off. Winner is fastest time with least faults. ● Table 2 Sec 2(b) - “Jump-off” - First round untimed, stay in ring and begin jump-off within 45 seconds if clear. Winner is fastest time with no faults in the jump-off. ● Table 2 Sec 2(c) - “Power and Speed” - First portion of round is untimed, if no faults, continue without stopping on to timed section. Winner is fastest time in second portion with least faults. Medals Series ● Two round Medals class with a ride off at each show. Round 1is a flat phase, Round 2 is a fences phase, and top four riders are invited back for a ride-off. ● Each phase is entered separately and pinned separately. ● Winner of the LWSC Medal is the rider with best combined score in Round 1, Round 2, and ride-off. ● Riders do NOT need to participate in both rounds - but must if competing for the overall medal. ● Series is open to all juniors and amatuer adults. Professionals not permitted. Exhibitor Parties ● Starting at 1pm each show Saturday, we will have an exhibitor party near the grandstand at the main arena. ● Parties are sponsored and are a great time to socialize with your friends as well as earn volunteer hours (by setting the hunter course if the day is done!) Volunteering and Year End Awards ● Our shows are entirely volunteer run. We cannot exist without the help of our volunteers and encourage all participants to help out as they are able. ● We need announcers, ribbon room gals, and lots of jump crew - there is a job for everyone. ● Members who earn 8 volunteer hours are eligible for year-end awards at our banquet. ● Setting the course on Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, or Sunday evening is worth 4 hours, regardless of actual time taken! FREE Fun Classes at EVERY SHOW! ● Free jumper fun classes as well as free hunter fun classes for members! ● May: Bareback Jumpers (Fences 0.70m) and Bareback Ride-A-Buck (BYO$ 5 Bill) ● June: Hoof and Boots Relay (Fences 0.70m) - ride half the course and run half the course and Egg and Spoon ● July: Jumper Relay (Fences 0.70m) - 2 riders/1 horse and Bareback Equitation on the Flat ● August: Jumper Relay (Fences 0.70m) - 2 riders/2 horses and Musical Ponies ● September: Choose your Own Line and Pairs on the Flat
