A valuable opportunity for PhD students and young
researchers in the field of health economics to present
their ongoing research and receive important feedback
from experienced health economists and their peers.
The conference is an excellent platform to advance your
early stage research with input from an international
audience. It provides the possibility to network with colleagues and to be motivated by plenary sessions from
acclaimed speakers in a stimulating academic and social
environment.
ABOUT
THE CONFERENCE
On behalf of the European Health Economics Association
(EuHEA), the Swiss Society of Health Economics and the
Interfaculty Health Economics and Management Platform
of the University of Lausanne we would like to invite you
to attend the 4th EuHEA PhD Student-Supervisor and Early
Career Researcher Conference.
The objective of the conference is to provide an opportunity to PhD students and young researches to present
their research and have it discussed in depth by a senior
health economist and fellow young researchers with
expertise in their field of study. Hence the conference
provides an excellent platform to advance a thesis chapter or research manuscript, network with your peers
and gain new insights and collaborations with others
interested in your topic.

Applicants whose papers are selected will be allocated
one hour in which to present their research and to receive
structured feedback from a senior health economist with a :
The conference registration will be on the morning of
the 6th September followed by a lunch and a number of
structured parallel sessions. There will be two plenary
sessions, with one on the morning of Friday 8th September
held jointly with the Swiss Society of Health Economics
Conference.
• 25 minute presentation by the author ;
• 15 minute discussion by a senior health economist and ;
• 20 minutes for questions and general discussion.
Applicants can also participate in a special short research
presentation session “My research in 5 minutes” with constructive feedback on each presentation.

the Biopôle Life Sciences Park Lausanne – Vennes

1 | Joint delegates are Phd/ECR attending with
their supervisor/senior colleague or vice versa
2 | Shared double room with another conference
delegate. Conference delegates can request another single
or double room at an additional cost of CHF 290.- or CHF 165.per person for two nights respectively

refreshment breaks during the conference as well as an
evening aperitive on the 6th September
3 | Conference dinner will take place at the Hermitage Museum
