How to drag and drop a picture into
Boardmaker Plus SD Pro






Open Boardmaker
Create a new blank board
 File New Board
Open the symbol finder on the tool bar
 Drag symbol finder screen onto the board
Minimize Boardmaker
Open internet browser
Go to Google.com
 Type in desired picture (image)
 Open “images results”
 Find desired picture
Dropping a picture into
Boardmaker Plus SD Pro continued…

Click on the picture a
will appear
Drag and hover over the minimized Boardmaker tab
The tab will enlarge and show you the blank board
Drag the picture to the symbol finder and drop it on
the picture area
A pop up screen will appear and you will need to give
the picture



a name ( ex. Frog)
and assign to a category of your choice ( ex. Animals)
Type the item you choice into the symbol finder it
should be there
Adding sound to a picture





Open a new board
Make a button
Double click on the button- a pop up board will appear
You have a few options
Speak Message


Play recorded message



You can type in a message or use the button text
Record a new sound ( your voice)
Select from MJ sounds – it opens a sound folder and you can choose from
the sounds available
findsounds.com also has many cool sounds


Drag and drop the sound just like you dragged the picture
Drop it onto the picture where you want the sound
Adding a video





Double click on button that you want the
video to be attached to
A pop up screen will appear
Click on “Cool Stuff”
Click “Play movie”
Go to “My Videos” and click on the video
you want to put on the board
Symbolate tool


Click on Symbolate button tool
Type desired message


If you want to change a picture double click on
the picture
A screen will come up you can add extra picture
or browse through the pictures
Changing Boards



When creating a board package you must first make the
board you are going to change to…
Create the board
Be sure to make a change board back button on it


Click on button-go to “Board Change” tab
Click “change board back”- then click ok

Save it in my boards
Minimize that board after saving

Also Pop-up boards available


Pop-up board “pop up” on the same screen and are a smaller
board

Now create another board that will link to the board that you
just created









Save room on the board for a “next board button”
Make a button anywhere on the board
You can put a “turn page” symbol on it
Click on the “turn page” button- a pop up board will appear
Click on the “Board Change” tab
Then click on “Change board”- another pop-up will appear
Find the board that you saved to connect to the current board
Click “ok” then “ok” and it will take you back to your board
Push Control U and see if it works

You can link as many boards as you want this way

You must first register
Find item you want to download
Highlight- it will turn blue
Scroll up to the top and click “download”
A new screen pops up and click “download” again
Save the file under “My boards”
If the file is a “zip” file you will have to extract the files
Another comes up it gives the option to save or to open
Open the file- it then takes you to a new screen
On the left it will say “extract files” – click on it
Follow the extraction directions
After the extraction is finished on the left will be a “move file” tab
Click on it and move files to “my boards”
Sharing Videos and Boards
You can also send/receive boards thru email
 Open BM
 Go to file

Export




Individual Board Package
Choose a board to send
Then save as .zbp file
Open your email and send it as an attachment
Opening emailed boards

Double click on the link inside the e-mail






It will an open/save pop-up
You must first go to client C
Then documents and settings
Then to users or your name may be on the list
(ex. Petersb)
Open “yourname” then save it to your designated
space- My boards is the easiest
Click save-sometimes this take a while
