form a committee made up of an experienced Advisor and
enthusiastic members

Develop a Plan
(Plan the Work)
- Establish a budget – how much profit do you want to achieve? Work with the
Chapter Treasurer.
- Decide when it will start, or when the event will be held
- Where can the event can be held ? (rent free is always good)
- Develop a list of duties so everyone can help out and work as a team.

Promotion of the Fundraiser
- Email
- Print, post and send out Flyers supporting the Fundraiser
- Use Facebook or Twitter
- Word of mouth

Carry out the Fundraiser
(Work the plan)
• Keep an eye on the Budget – how much profit you make is determined by your
costs going out and the money coming in. If possible keep costs down, request
donations to offset them, where possible.
• Have committee meetings to make sure everyone is on the same page
• SELL…. SELL…. SELL to bring the money in.
• Promote, Publicize and Push to raise awareness of your Chapter

Post Evaluation
- Have a final committee meeting and document all of the good things that
happened and all the areas that could be improved for the next time.
- In order to be successful in the future, you need to learn from the mistakes and
failures of the past.
