C or better in MA 334.
Two exams and a final. Final exam: May 8, Tuesday, 03:30pm-05:30pm
Homework will be collected on Wednesdays. Quizzes will be given randomly, at the beginning of
the class. If you are late you cannot take the quiz.
NO MAKE UP TESTS ARE GIVEN unless you have a university approved excuse in writing.
If you missed a test you must notify me withing 24 hours after the test. A missed test or final
exam will result a grade F for the course. No make up quiz is given – unless you have a
university approved excuse for being absent. No late homework is accepted.
If you are absent more than 4 times, your grade is F for the course.
By the end of the semester you will have a percentage for each test, for the final, and for the
homework and quizzes combined. Your overall percentage is the arithmetic average of these
percentages. Your overall percentage will be converted to letter grade as follows:
[90,100] → A, [80,90) → B, [70,80) → C, [60,70) → D, [0,60) → F.
Grades are non-negotiable! Losing your financial support, scholarship etc. is not a valid reason
for getting a better grade. If you need a good grade you must study more!
