HIGH SCHOOL Summer League Rules 2017
1. All UIL, TAPPS and NCAA rules apply. Players must have high school eligibility left to play in this league.
2. Only the Official summer league jersey is to be worn by the players. Jerseys need to be tucked in. No
T-shirts or different types of Jerseys will be allowed.
3. Four ten minute quarters with running clock. Everyone must sub at the 5-minute mark. The clock will
stop briefly as this substitution takes place. The clock will stop in the last two minutes of THE GAME on
the whistle (unless there is a 30 point or greater difference, in which case the clock will continue to
run). Everyone suited out must play. On teams with 10 or more players subs can be made for those
who have not entered at any time during the last half of the quarter. If a player picks up his third or
fourth foul during his five minutes of play, you cannot sub in for him. Each player gets 6 fouls. On
teams with less than 10 players, no player can play more than two consecutive five minute periods at a
time. Free substitutions may occur during the entire 4th quarter.
4. Any ties go to 1 minute overtime . A 2nd tie will result in sudden death, first team that scores wins.

each half.
8. Technical fouls-offended team will receive two points and the ball out of bounds (there will be no
shooting of technical fouls). The player that receives the technical is to be removed from the game at
that point, he may return in the subsequent quarter. If a player receives an unsportsmanlike penalty
he will be removed for the remainder of the game. Conduct such as fighting or verbal outburst can be
grounds for removal for the remainder of the league games.
