MULTI BIN Set up Setup must be run by Roll Master. All available accumulator items will be moved into a 08/08 inventory item and any existing inventory locations will be created in that 08/08 item. During the set up process you can choose a default bin location that the system will use when receiving accumulator items via the “Receive Entire PO” function. In the example below there were available items in the location MR710 and those have been moved into a newly created 08/08 item and given the location where they came from. If a 08/08 item already exists, then the available product will be added to it and any location information of the products will be created in that 08/08 multi bin view. Inventory Note location on main inventory page will show MULTI if product is in more than one location, otherwise it will show the single location in the Loc column. MULTI BIN If you highlight the inventory line, you can right click and view the multi locations without having to go into the item itself. This will take you to the main Multi Bin screen. This screen is constant throughout the program with any differences being in the lower right area that have specific information and functionality depending on what module of the program you are working with. Please note that boxed items will show the boxes in the last column. On the multi bin screen you will see all locations that a product is currently in. MULTI BIN You will also notice that there is an area across the top of the white box where items in transit and unpicked reserves are listed. Unpicked Reserves are reserves that are assigned to specific jobs but have not been allocated to a specific bin location by the work order. By clicking the View unpicked reserves in the upper right of the screen you can see what jobs have these unpicked reserves. MULTI BIN Items inside the white box in the reserve column have already been assigned to a specific bin via the work order. From the view multi bin screen you can move location of any of your available product to either an existing bin or a new bin by clicking on the move location button. It will default to moving from the top location or you can highlight any location you want to move product from and then click the move location button. You can then select to move a quantity from the available amount in that location to any of the current locations by either highlighting the location you would like to move them to, or by typing in the location. You can also type in a new location and the new location will be created. Once you type in the quantity and location the “Move Loc” button will be active and you can click it to move the product. The program will ask you to confirm the move and then move the product to its new location. MULTI BIN You will note that you can either move an item by choosing the quantity or you can select the “Box” option and move product by the number of boxes. Box quantity must be filled in on the main inventory screen in order for box quantity to function. MULTI BIN When you enter into the Edit Inventory Item screen when multi bin is turned on you will notice that the on hand box is no longer accessable. Any changes to the quantity on hand will need to be made from the bin location itself and will be updated to the onhand box automatically. You will also see a box count beside the onhand, reserved, available, used, and W/O’d areas if the item has a box quantatiy entered. To make changes to a bin location you will use the “view multi” button. This will take you to the “View Multi” screen where you can highlight the location you need to add or subtract inventory from. After you enter the quantity that you need to show as on hand for that bin and hit the continue button you will be asked to enter a comment and a date the same as any inventory adjustment, and the overall onhand quantity will be updated. MULTI BIN Transfers When you enter into an inventory item to create a transfer, make all of your selections for the transfer and click the transfer button, the multi bin distribution window will be displayed and allow you to select what actual bins you wish to take the items from to be transferred. You will see in the lower right of the screen in this case there is a quantity of 100 units or 4 boxes left to pick from the bins in the white box to complete the transfer. You can either highlight a bin you want to pull all or some of the product from and click continue or you can type in the quantity and location and then select continue. You can also toggle back and forth between quantity and boxes. In this example I select to take 50 from bin 2. You will see that after you hit the continue button there is still a quantity of 50 left to fill our transfer. After you select the next 50, the program will prompt you for the date and then complete the outgoing part of the transfer. You will again notice that it will let you know how many units or boxes you have left to distribute into a location. After you have finished distributing all the items received you will be returned to the receiving screen to continue receiving or prompted to close the PO. If you split the receiving into multiple bins, the receiving report will show that information. If you have selected F1 to ship all products for a work order and there are one or more multi bin items on the work order, the multi bin screen for each item will come up and allow you to ship the desired quantity from the desired locations. And then return you to the work order to print that work order. A new sheet will print with the work order showing the quantities and bin locations for each multi bin item.
