Smile Throw
Players sit in circle or in a way that everyone can see each other.
All players are to keep a straight, sombre face.
One person is chosen to be the Smile Thrower - this person smiles.
The Smile Thrower will smile a big smile at all players trying to get them
to crack a smile or laugh.
If anyone smiles or laughs they are out of the game (and must be quiet
while the game goes on).
The Smile Thrower can wipe off their smile with their hand and throw it to
another player if he wishes. The receiving player will put on the smile and
be the new Smile Thrower. You could set a time limit on how long your
Smile Thrower is allowed to keep their role.

Limbo
Find a long stick, broom handle or other suitable Limbo stick and two
people to hold it at either end.
Play some upbeat music and start the Limbo!
Each person is to walk under the Limbo stick.
Start with the Limbo stick high enough that everyone can clear it easily.
Once everyone has passed under the Limbo stick, it should be lowered
about 10 centimetres.
As the Limbo stick is progressively lowered, participants must bend
backwards to clear it. They are not allowed to squat or stoop.
Anyone who cannot clear the stick is eliminated from the game.

Undisclosed treasure
This requires a little advanced planning. Before the picnic, place a small
treat/ treasure in a small plastic container.
Wrap up the container in newspaper and sticky-tape. Then continue
wrapping it in layers of heavy-duty tape. Use electrical, masking, or any
other type of tape until you have created a good size ball of tape that
cannot be easily unravelled.
Start the game with all players in a circle.
The first player rolls 2 dice. If the player rolls doubles, they sit in the
centre of the circle and begin to peel away the layers of the ball of tape
with the intention of getting to the "undisclosed treasure."
This person continues to work on the ball of tape until another player rolls
doubles. Each time a player rolls doubles, they will have the opportunity
to unwrap the "undisclosed treasure."
The person who unwraps the last layer from the container gets to keep the
treat/ treasure.

Water Balloon Toss
Participants team up into pairs. Each pair requires a water balloon.
Pairs should line up facing each other in two parallel lines, beginning about
a metre apart.
The game begins with participants throwing their balloon to their partners.
When the balloon is caught, each partner must take a step backwards and
then return the throw.
The object of the game is to not be the one to drop the balloon.
The last team to have the water balloon not burst is the winner of the
game.

Sevenses
This is a simple ball game with the aim of throwing and catching the ball in
seven different ways. For example:
- Throw the ball against the wall and catch it (7 times)
- Bounce the ball on the ground and catch it (6 times)
- Throw the ball against the wall and catch it after it bounces once on
the ground (5 times)
- Throw the ball under your leg and catch it after it bounces off the wall
(4 times)
- Throw the ball against the wall, let it bounce once then hit it back
against the wall and catch it (3 times)
- Throw the ball against the wall and touch the ground before catching
the ball (2 times)
- Throw the ball against the wall and turn around once before catching
the ball (1 time)
A player continues through the sequence until they make a mistake, when
it becomes the next player's turn.
The game can also be played by yourself, in which case you must start the
whole sequence again if you make a mistake.

Tissue Squares
This is a relay game for two (or more) teams.
Each team has one tissue per child at one end of the room and an empty
plate at the other end.
Players must use a spoon to pick up the tissue and carry it to the plate,
without touching the tissue with their hands.
They return to their team and hand the spoon to the next player.
The first team to get all their squares to the plate wins.
