Executive Board Descriptions President Individuals wishing to run for President must have served on the ICC e-board for one year, or have served as an ICC member club President for one year. The President shall perform the general duties of an executive and shall call together and preside over all meetings of the ICC. The President shall maintain relationships with all ICC Member Clubs, the Administration, Student Council, and the Wasserman Center for Career Development. The President shall meet with the Stern Office of Student Life liaison to the ICC weekly. The President shall also call executive board meetings on a weekly basis to discuss ICC issues and development. The President is also responsible for assisting with the coordination of the Leadership Summit at the beginning of the year and the Pass the Torch event to conclude the year. The president is responsible for collecting appropriate mid and end of year review forms and collecting both mid and end of year metrics surrounding community service and club co-sponsorship. The President will present this information to the Office of Student Life at the appropriate times. Vice President Individuals wishing to run for Vice President must have served on either the ICC e-board for a semester or a member club e-board for one year. The Vice President shall assume all the duties of the President at the request of the President or in the President’s absence. He/she shall be acquainted with the powers and duties of the presiding officer and become familiar with the presidential responsibilities. The Vice President shall provide support to the President and to the ICC, and maintain relationships that are similar in structure to that of the President’s with the clubs, students and administrators. The Vice President is also responsible for the maintenance and integrity of this constitution and included articles of operations. The Vice President shall facilitate communication with external parties, such as the Stern Graduate School. The Vice President is also responsible for overseeing the planning of the Fall and Spring carnivals with the Student Life Administration that are sponsored by ICC. Treasurer Individuals wishing to run for Treasurer must have served on either the ICC e-board, a member club e-board, or as a committee head/chair of a member club for one year. The Treasurer shall be responsible for executing and monitoring the allocated funds to the ICC member organizations and for reporting the financial status of the ICC. The Treasurer shall reimburse the clubs and students of the ICC in a timely manner and be responsible for relations between club treasurers and the Office of Student Life. The Treasurer and Office of Student Life representative will meet on a weekly basis. It shall also be the responsibility of the Treasurer of the ICC e-board to monitor and enforce the Treasury Regulations set forth in Article VI. The Treasurer shall assume the duties of the Vice President in his/her absence. Secretary Individuals wishing to run for Secretary must have been an active member of an ICC member club for one year. The Secretary shall be responsible for informing all members of meetings as well as ordering food and beverages for these meetings. However, this does not mean the secretary shall service as the only purchaser of food and beverages throughout the semester (this should be split amongst the approved ICC authorized spenders). The Secretary shall record and log both minutes and attendance at weekly meeting and distribute this information to club leaders on a timely basis. The Secretary shall maintain the ICC email account, keeping it organized and updated. They shall also keep an updated list of e-board members, which will be used for submission for access to the Leadership Suite. Additionally, the Secretary is responsible for assisting the Vice President in planning the fall and spring carnivals, as well as assisting the President with planning the Fall Leadership Summit and Pass the Torch event. Finally, the Secretary shall take on any extra responsibilities in order to help where necessary. Director of Marketing Individuals wishing to run for Director of Marketing must have been an active member of an ICC member club for one year. The Director of Marketing will be a marketing liaison to the Stern student body for the ICC member clubs. He/she will compile all the events of the week and prepare a weekly email to send out to the student body. Other related responsibilities include sending out featured events emails on behalf of the clubs and recording all past events. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for other publicity tasks, including the creation and distribution of flyers and other marketing materials to promote ICC events as needed. He/she shall also be responsible for organizing, maintaining, and structuring the bulletin boards located throughout Stern facilities. Lastly, the Director of Marketing will be directly responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the ICC website. This website should be updated on a weekly basis and display the most up to date information. The Director of Marketing shall also be responsible for updating and maintaining the ICC website and portal, and assisting clubs with using the portal. In addition, from time to time he/she may be charged with improving the design and/or content of the ICC website. The Director of Marketing is also responsible for maintaining the Club of the Week program. Director of Operations Individuals wishing to run for Director of Operations must have been an active member of an ICC member club for one year. The Director of Operations will serve as the main point of contact with the Wasserman Center to coordinate all co-sponsorships for both the Fall and Spring recruiting events. He/she will also assist clubs in reaching out to potential speakers from firms that recruit at Stern through the Wasserman Center and Alumni Development office. The Director of Operations is responsible for maintaining ICC’s master calendar of all club events, and working on clubs’ behalf to reserve meeting spaces in Stern. The Director of Operations will work with the Office of Student Life to reserve rooms at the start of each semester for weekly meetings. The Director of Operations will also be responsible for submitting one-time room requests on behalf of the student clubs and special event request forms. The Director of Operations will also assist the President in coordinating leadership development events to take place during the ICC weekly meetings. This may include bringing in leaders from various firms to share their leadership experience, coordinating workshops or training events for club Presidents, or developing themes for “best practice” meetings. The Director of Operations is also responsible for planning social events to encourage club leaders to get to know one another in an informal environment. Underclassmen Liaisons Individuals wishing to run for Underclassman Liaison must have been an active member of an ICC member club for one year. There shall be two (2) underclassmen liaison positions that will serve as supporting members of the executive board. The elections for these positions will be held at the start of the Fall semester of every academic year, so as to allow members of the incoming freshman class to run for these positions. One (1) of the two Liaison positions must be held by a freshman candidate and the other by either a freshman or sophomore candidate. The Underclassmen Liaisons will serve as the main point of contact for the freshman and sophomore classes to the ICC. They will be responsible for marketing initiatives to make ICC better known to their respective classes. The Underclassmen Liaisons will also assist the e-board in planning and executing the various events and initiatives that ICC is responsible for. They will work with the President and Secretary on duties as assigned by ICC Executive Board members. They will assist the Vice President in planning the fall and spring carnivals. They will assist the Director of Operations on planning social events and increasing community within the Student Leaders of the member clubs. The Underclassmen Liaisons will also be responsible for working with the e-board on any other initiatives that come up. They will also, with the assistance of relevant members of the e-board, prepare regular reports on new initiatives the ICC should pursue and the performance of continuing operations. Ultimately, these liaisons will not be on the official ICC Executive Board, but serve on a sub-board that will qualify them for future ICC Executive Board positions.
