BIG GAME LIVE
Friday 30th June – Sunday 2nd July 2017
This is a competition, run by Nottinghamshire Scouts, which is open to all Explorer
Scouts throughout the UK.
Teams of 4 Explorers have 8 hours to visit and photograph themselves at various
locations around Nottinghamshire, making use of the superb Tram and Bus
Network, getting as many points as they can to win the game!
If you have one or two extra Explorers who want to take part but don’t have
enough to make an extra team then you may have a larger team but the prizes
will have to be shared should the team win.
Teams to arrive at Robin Hood Activity Centre, Ricket Lane, Blidworth,
Nottinghamshire. NG21 0NF. They must be checked in, set up, fed and ready for
briefing which will take place at 9.00pm on Friday 30th June 2017.
Each Team will need to arrange your own Nights Away Notification and home
contact or “intouch” contact procedure. A copy of the NAN form must be
presented with the health forms on arrival at the event.
Kit you will need.
 Tent accommodation for your team
 1st Aid Kit
 Sleeping kit and Clothing
 Day bag
 Water Proofs
 Lunch Box and Drink Bottle
 Digital Camera plus the USB cable. Not your Mobile Phone.
 Uniform
The Scout Law is

After arrival on Friday night, you will have some supper and games to get to know
your fellow competitors.
Following Saturday’s breakfast teams will be issued with a packed lunch and taken
to a local tram station to commence the competition. Each team will have exactly
8 hours to complete as much of the competition as possible and to arrive back at
their starting point.
Scout neckers and an event t-shirt will be worn whilst out and about during the
competition.
Each team will use their digital camera to take a photo of themselves at the
locations.
On completion of the competition, teams will be returned to Robin Hood Scout
Camp to submit their photos and results sheet.
There are added tasks to complete to gain Bonus Point – However these tasks will
remain a secret until the event!
There will then be an evening meal and more activities.
Following Sunday breakfast, winners will be announced and prizes awarded.
Teams are then free to leave the Scout Camp after checking-out at approximately
10am.
All for a fee of £35 per Explorer and £25 per Leader.

 Friday Supper.
 Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Meal.
 Sunday Breakfast.
 Friday and Saturday evening activities.
 All transport, including NET Tram and NCT Buses.
 Camp Fees.
