SUMMER IS CHANGING
Increased awareness of:
 Summer learning loss & the role libraries play in helping children
maintain their skills.
 The value of creativity and process-based learning & opportunities
this provides for summer programming.
 The knowledge that many who take part in summer reading are
library regulars and book-lovers; the need for targeted outreach to
those who do not participate.
