1. PSAPs tell us the learning curve from VESTA Pallas to VESTA 9-1-1 is minimal
because of the familiar user interface and ease of use. Plus, Calltakers appreciate
the ability to customize the screen to what works for them.
2. Managers tell us that even though Calltakers don’t like change, they have little
resistance to adopting VESTA 9-1-1 from VESTA Pallas. For a PSAP, this saves
valuable time because the amount of training required is not as significant as when
you move to a non-VESTA platform.
3. In terms of support, any system that has software support on their existing VESTA
Pallas equipment is carried over to the new VESTA 9-1-1 system. You experience
no loss in software support when you migrate.
4. Because VESTA Pallas and VESTA 9-1-1 are from the same 9-1-1 family, data
migration, such as seed dial information, is supported. Migration from VESTA
Pallas to VESTA 9-1-1 includes the ability to preserve existing auto dial data and
facilitates migration of that data into the new VESTA 9-1-1 system. This reduces
your installation and configuration time when migrating.

5. Your local support structures remain the same, which for many PSAPs is critical.
Changing service providers, where you have built relationships, expertise, and processes over time – is a risk and a
cost. Changing equipment is one cost but replacing the people you have grown use to working with and trust – is
another cost altogether.
